We don’t need or want another war. Well, the left got that part right. The rest is fundraising, petition signature fishing, email list building nonsense. Groups like MoveOn may even know they are full of crap, but if they put up a stink, maybe they add another ignorant activist or two to the rolls.
Iran’s war with us is real. That’s why Qasem Soleimani is no more.

You kill one of ours (or try), and we’ll take out something you may wish you still had. Iran’s response was to kill more of its civilians (some Canadians, Germans, and Brits) and launch a few missiles at US bases.
Fun Fact. Obama Killed More Americans with missile strikes in the Middle East than Iran did last week.
The left is also framing this as an unnecessary tit for tat escalation. But if you listened to what your president said instead of what the Left says he says, you’d know the truth. He said he’d defend the US from attacks, impose sanctions, work with allies, and encourage internal regime change. No war.
Two days ago, he kept that promise. Instead of a military response to the Iranian missile attack in which no Americans were injured or killed, he did something much worse (for Iran, and Democrats).
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Treasury Steve Mnuchin announced President Donald Trump’s administration placed sanctions on Iran’s textiles, mining, and iron ore sectors.
The sanctions come after Iran attacked two Iraqi military bases with American troops.
Mnuchin stated that the administration chose the eight “senior Iranian officials for their involvement and complicity in Tuesday’s ballistic missile strikes.”
The eight Iranian officials include ” Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council; Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, the Deputy Chief of Staff of Iranian armed forces; and Gholamreza Soleimani, the head of the Basij militia of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).”
He then sent out a tweet to Iran in Persian.

I’m not sure how many Iranians saw it. Iran, like some New Hampshire Democrats, likes to censor online speech with which they disapprove. But I suspect the message is getting around. It is the most popular Persian tweet in Twitter History.
The goal is to get Iran to stop the crap and act like other nations. No more terrorist proxy funding. Stop threatening to wipe other countries off the map. And support internal action for change within Iran.
To borrow an oft misused phrase form the Obama years, a Persian Spring. Except that where the Left used that phrase to foment uprisings to create vacuums for terrorists to assume power, Mr. Trump is doing the opposite — encouraging Iranians to take the world’s leading sponsor of terror out of control and replace it with a civilian government that wants to get along with the world.
