It is almost a week after Thanksgiving but these kinds of notions and mindsets didn’t arise from nothingness. If they weren’t handed down by their parents (rather doubtful, especially at a “Christian” college, methinks), it’s by our educational system that has taught this self-loathing of one’s own country.
The Howard Zinn-ification of “America is bad, America has always been bad” has now overtaken our youth.
“Is it OK to celebrate Thanksgiving?”
Here’s the money quote: “Not really but what do Americans do except to celebrate unethical holidays?”
The implication is that if America is this bad, the question isn’t how to make it better, in these minds full of mush, but what to change it to? ANYthing should be better, right?
And that’s exactly where the Left, that has taken the rampart of our educational system that teaches them this history, wants them. American Exceptionalism? No, American cruelty and selfishness.
So what’s in YOUR kids’ school books, parents?
