The Culture Wars Are Here in NH! And the Union Leader Buys In.
A recent post by this writer called attention to the ridiculous and insulting reports that the left-wing Democrat Governor of Wisconsin was planning to refer to the state’s Christmas Tree its “Holiday Tree.”

So, we now see in today’s Union Leader (Nov. 14) a story by “Union Leader Correspondent” Kimberly Haas reporting on a request to place a Chanukah menorah in Market Square in Portsmouth near the city’s annual Christmas Tree. The fourth paragraph of the story recites as follows:

“Portsmouth erects a large holiday tree in Market Square and decorative wreaths are hung from downtown lamp posts each December.” [emphasis added]

Wow!  I always thought is was a Christmas Tree, an integral part of Americana.

It did not take long for the infection to travel from Wisconsin to Portsmouth, or was the travel started in Portsmouth and migrated over to Wisconsin?

You decide.
