Only You Can Keep Wakefield Common-Core Free

Wakefield is holding another public session on a potential introduction of Common Core to its curriculum. As noted here, back in October, the town has – until now – shown no interest in the standard. Now it seems like something or someone is hot to embrace it.

Residents should be curious about why the town would want to embrace Common Core? The School board has consistently rejected it in the past, and residents and informed activists should encourage them to do so now.

Note that, we can’t guarantee that we will have someone there to conspicuously record, so folks should take on the role to ensure a third party records the meeting. You can’t have too many people recording public meetings. We will get someone there is we can.
