Democrats – the children are OURS, not the Parents

This is one of my pet peeve issues.  Superindendent Kirk Beitler and the Gilford School Board are in the process of doing this right now with their Policy JBAB on “Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Students(implemented directly from the NH School Board Association who had this bucket of “Hating on Normal Parents” out there since 2008).  In essence (and more posts on this to come), Kirk Beitler holds that in a number of important areas, Parents don’t have to be notified of what the school is doing or allowing their child to do.

And even more blatant example is Virginia State Senator Dick Saslaw, who is about to become the Senate Majority, who really does believe that Government has first priority over Parents when it comes to children with legislation he has filed:

  • SB18 usurps a Parent’s authority when it comes to firearms (“a gun control bill that not only imposes universal background checks on firearms transfers, but makes it a “Class 1 misdemeanor for any person knowingly to authorize a child under the age 18 to use a firearm except when the person is under the supervision of an adult.”). So much for plinking, home self-defense (e.g., “Home Alone”). We’re not talking a small child – we’re talking responsible teenagers.
  • SB21 usurps Parental Authority AND Notification: “if that same underage daughter decides to get an abortion, you as a parent have no say in the matter. SB 21 removes the requirement that a parent or a judge provide consent before a minor of any age can get an abortion, as well as several other changes to the state’s laws regarding abortion providers.”

So, a teenager, with permission of their parents, won’t be able to go shooting at tin cans or varmints in their (presumably large backyard or on some farm land) or protect themselves in case of a home invasion – the State says so. And the State says so that this same girl can go and murder her baby.

Saslaw has just declared that Parents don’t matter.  He is writing into law that in the “big things” in life, the State takes priority over Parents.  I guess these means that the State now believes it loves your children more than you do and that you only do harm to them. At the sake of breaking Godwin’s Law, isn’t this the same thing that

If it loves those children so much, can it name that child right now? As I said here:

Go ahead, try this quadratic equation.  “We have your children” never sounded so scary…

We’ve seen how Societies with this mindset turn out before – less Freedom for the individual, more Power for the State.  Yet, even here in the “Land of the Free”, we are seeing this tendency more and more.  Even Hillary “President in my mind – I didn’t lose that election!” Clinton thinks this:

There is no such thing as other people’s children (as reported by Newsweek, although I can’t find a URL)

Michelle Obama, too:

Make no mistake about it, this November, when we get to the polls, that is what we are deciding. Not Democrat or Republican, not left or right. In this election, and every election, it is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives.

And MSNBC Commentator Dr. Melissa Harris-Perry):

“We have never invested as much in public education as we should have because we’ve always had a private notion of children; your kid is yours and totally your responsibility. We haven’t had a very collective notion of these are our children,”

If those quotes don’t scare the crap out of you Parents, just send your Wards of the State to the nearest Family and Protective Services in your state and get it over with.
