Cultural Revolution Claims Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show as Next Victim

The once very popular Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has been mothballed. Another victim of the left’s bi-polar culture war. One in which children are encouraged to watch a nearly naked homosexual parade but adults should not watch beautiful women parading in lingerie and wings.

And that’s hardly the biggest contradiction. The left advocate’s prostitution (and by extension the human trafficking that feeds it), defends pornography, and even runs cover for sexual abusers like Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein. The latter of which was killed to protect a long list of other liberal globalist lights which may have shared Jeffrey’s interest in sex with underage girls.

Here’s one take on the demise of Angels in their underwear.

“Victoria’s Secret’s brand image is starting to appear to many as being outdated and even a bit ‘tone deaf’ by failing to be aligned with women’s evolving attitudes towards beauty, diversity and inclusion,” James A. Mitaronda, head of activist investor Barington Capital Group, wrote in a letter to Wexner in March. “While Victoria’s Secret has improved the racial and ethnic diversity of the women in its advertising campaigns, it continues to use models that depict a very narrow definition of beauty.”

I spend a good deal of my day consuming media and I have news. The American (and global) advertising definition of beauty is almost indistinguishable from the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. Add Television and Hollywood to that list. Even the bi-polar activist are unable to come to terms with the contradictions so maybe this is some sort of therapy meant to assuage the left’s self-guilt?

Beauty Is..?

Now, I’m not saying James A. Mitaronda is wrong from 30,000 feet. Beauty has many forms and it is in the eye of the beholder, but if we’re talking marketing and sales, sex sells and the template for that is unchanged.

Yes, the Victoria’s Secret fashion show TV ratings have dropped off significantly in recent years. But I don’t think that has anything to do with a definition of beauty. Even women like to see clothes on (these) beautiful women.

But don’t get caught watching that! Here’s some porn instead!  It’s weird.

I have never actually seen the fashion show, just the chatter and the occasional image (when I write about something related to it.) But this does not surprise me. Big corporations are into appeasing the left (perception politics) even if they don’t have feminazis or the Gaystapo marching outside their corporate offices.

So, I am here to help! I have some suggestions that fit the historical arc of the cultural revolution. This one should be no different so they might as well get a head start on these new (old) fashions.
