Party of Diversity Moves to Censure Their Own US Senator for Voting Diversely

The diversity narrative is a lie. It paints a rainbow on the outside to cover the absence of any on the inside. You can look however you like but don’t you dare think outside the box.

Democrat Kyrsten Sinema has voted her mind in the US Senate a time or two. That’s Baaaaaaad.

The Progressive Caucus, the largest in the state Democratic Party, has pushed for the resolution over what it says is Sinema’s history of voting with Republicans and the Trump administration, including her votes to confirm Attorney General William Barr and Interior Secretary David Bernhardt.

I’ll confess we’ve written a few articles about Republicans whose votes we’ve not cared much for, but our process for that is this. Talk it up. Stir the pot. Find a better candidate to back and then primary the incumbent.

In the context of the US Senate and confirmations, we’ve noted more than once that the advice and consent function is not supposed to be anything like what was done to Judge Bork, Clarence Thomas, or Brett Kavanaugh. And if memory serves, Republican Senates have not tortured nominees for media sound bites and fundraising emails. Certainly not like the left. Yet.

But then we never used to have Republican Presidents that pushed back against the endless progressive abuse machine. Now we do. They don’t like that.

Wouldn’t want to let that catch on in their own party.

Sinema, for her part, is still a Democrat. And by no means your typical mainstream Senator anything. And she’s not going to vote the way I want on almost anything. Neither are either of my own Senators. But in her capacity as a check on appointees, she appears to accept the role more as intended. Where Shaheen and Hassan are reliable militant left-wing ax grinders parroting the party line, she’s like, oh my god, this dude can do that. Or, something.

She’s what the Democrats claim they are to voters when they run for office except she’s doing it in office. At least enough to piss the progressives.

Her job, as she sees it, is to make sure the nominees are competent enough for the position, not to manufacture crimes to discredit them or to refuse them merely because “Republican’ or ‘Trump!’

But that’s a sin on the far-left which now runs over their own the way Islamofascists squelch so-called moderate Muslims. Sure, they are out there, but you can’t hear them because they don’t want to get destroyed.

Senator Sinema is being sent a message. Vote right, or you’re going to get it.

No, they don’t all think that way. Not yet. But how long will it be before the so-called party of diversity has used their intimidation tactics to stamp out every tinder of free thought in their midst?
