When Trump first announced the border crisis and deployed National Guard troops to help Border Patrol agents, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham put on a show for her liberal buddies.

There’s no crisis. Get them off the border. Grisham bought and then sold the far-left narrative. You know the drill.
What you (probably) didn’t know is that for weeks this Democrat Governor of a border state has been begging for help from the Federal Government.
“The governor wants to continue to urge the federal government to increase its personnel on the border as a means of improving the logistical and communications output,” said spokesman Tripp Stelnicki.
Our partners at the Albuquerque Journal report that the governor is also seeking federal reimbursement for humanitarian assistance, more federal staffing and other resources.
Why?
There’s no crisis at the border. She said so herself.
Earlier this year, (Michelle) Lujan Grisham said there was no crisis at the southern border and a few weeks later removed the National Guard troops. (Steve Pearce, the chairman of the New Mexico Republican Party) said the governor needs to acknowledge what the real problem at the border is.
“Everything in her actions indicate that she believes there’s a crisis, but yet she will not dedicate the resources or request to her colleagues in Congress to start passing the laws that will change the situation there,” Pearce said.
There is a problem at the border and a problem at the State House. The latter has informed the former. Michelle Lujan Grisham publicly denied the crisis while border towns were being overrun and stressed to breaking by the thing she said did not exist.
She pandered to the Democrat party narrative. She took a shot at Trump because she wanted the media attention. She got what she asked for, and now she is looking for federal resources to save her backside and maybe even her chances at re-election.
Maybe Michelle should consider plumbing the Progressive billionaires fomenting the narratives (and likely the crisis itself) for donations. They are, after all, to whom she truly answers.
