Today, just like every year, Democrats and left-wing organizations like to make women believe they are somehow ‘victims of the patriarchy’ because they aren’t paid equally. These Democrats and organizations continue to use bogus statistics and studies to promote their lies.
Every year they are reminded that they are lying and demeaning women by claiming women aren’t paid equally but that doesn’t stop them from victimizing women. They prefer women believe they are victims rather than have women know they are paid equally and know they can already file a complaint.
The NH Women’s Foundation, a left-wing organization that doesn’t actually support women or actual women’s rights, is trying to fund raise off of their bogus lie about equal pay:
It's Equal Pay Day. How are you raising your voice in support of #equalpayforequalwork? Did you know the gender pay gap in NH is 21%? That means women earn 79¢ for every $1 men earn. Donate $21 to @NHWomensFndn to help close the gap #equalpay #nhpoliticshttps://t.co/xFVNbxWvWO pic.twitter.com/tusRATch4v

They are giving a discount this year. Last year they were asking for $24 donations.
Senator Maggie Hassan weighed in and even through in ‘women of color’ for good victimization measure:
Women, including women of color for whom the pay gap is even higher, deserve equal pay for equal work. It doesn't get more simple than that.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen took it a step further and not only lied about women being paid equally but is pushing the ‘Paycheck Fairness Act’ which will actually HURT women in the workforce:
It’s been nearly 100 years since women secured the right to vote & we still are paid less than men for the same work. This isn’t complicated: Equal pay for equal work. The #PaycheckFairnessAct would help close the wage gap. Let’s have a vote, @senatemajldr #EqualPayDay
— Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (@SenatorShaheen) April 2, 2019
What does the Paycheck Fairness Act do? It takes away women’s ability to negotiate. It literally harms women in negotiating for the pay they want, the hours they want or the benefits they want. All while adding massive red tape and a ridiculous intrusion by the government into private business.
Representative Anne Kuster had to chime in with the lie as well and seems proud she voted for legislation that will actually set women back decades:
It’s unacceptable women on average earn 80 cents to every dollar men earn. Women shouldn’t have to wait until today for their earnings to catch up to men’s earnings from 2018. We’ve made progress w/House passage of the #PaycheckFairnessAct but we must keep fighting. #EqualPayDay pic.twitter.com/Vt2v52V1BN

And of course, Representative Chris Pappas had to add his 1/2 a cent because his party bosses told him to. It’s always great to see an actual member of the ‘patriarchy’ pushing legislation that will harm women:
I am proud @HouseDemocrats passed the #PaycheckFairnessAct to guarantee equal pay for equal work, but #EqualPayDay is a stark reminder that we still have a long way to go. It’s time for the Senate to act. pic.twitter.com/uSNw6P5yT3

The Independent Women’s Voice, a women’s organization that actually supports women, sums up what the Paycheck Fairness Act does and doesn’t do quite nicely:
- The Paycheck Fairness Act doesn’t actually outlaw discrimination.
- Sex-based wage discrimination is already illegal. Both the Equal Pay Act (1963) and the Civil Rights Act (1964) protect women’s right to earn equal pay for equal work.
- While the Paycheck Fairness Act sounds harmless, what you may not know is it would change the legal system to encourage more lawsuits and increase government oversight over businesses compensation decisions, which could actually hurt women.
- If enacted, the Paycheck Fairness Act would make paychecks less fair for everyone by requiring that all workers be paid the same, regardless of performance.
- Rather than actually outlawing discrimination, the Paycheck Fairness Act would instead create more red tape that limit women’s opportunities.
- It would discourage flexibility in the workplace, as well as the hiring and promotion of women.
- The wage gap isn’t a measure of equal pay for equal work. It is a comparison of averages, without regard to profession, education, experience, or hours worked.
Every year on ‘Equal Pay Day,’ it’s the same emotional claptrap from Democrats and left-wing organizations. Every year, the same people provide facts to prove they are lying. Every year, they keep pushing the Paycheck Fairness Act which will actually hurt women in the workforce.
Granite State women deserve to be treated better than this by their federal delegation and their New Hampshire representatives pushing the same lies. Women earn equal pay and if they believe they are not, they have had the ability to sue for years. In fact, there are statistics on complaints from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and they paint a great picture that women AREN’T being paid unequally as Democrats and other leftists claim.
You’d think the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation, Shaheen, Hassan, Kuster and Pappas would be HAPPY about that. Instead, they’d rather demean women into believing they are victims.
