DCCC Won’t Support Democrats Who Primary Incumbents (AOC is Pissed!)

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may say some silly things, but the commie-base loves her. And she’s using that support to up-end the ‘establishment Democrats.’  Yesterday Vox reported on AOC’s call to stop donations to the DCCC.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), the first-term progressive superstar, took to Twitter last week and told her nearly 3.8 million followers to “pause” their donations to House Democrats’ official campaign arm — the organization charged with keeping Democrats in the House majority.Nancy

“Give directly to swing candidates instead,” she tweeted, sharing the campaign websites of several of her vulnerable Democratic colleagues, who just won in previously Republican-controlled districts.

The DCCC like their Republican counterparts happily funds incumbents unless they are trying to oust them.

Ocasio-Cortez is looking to replace Democrat dinosaurs with fresh-young socialists like herself. The sort of People Rashida Tlaib likens to sell-outs like Obama.

Bypass the crusty old institution. Direct-fund candidates you support. Something we’ve said for years about Republican candidates.

But this is ambitious. And while I am not a fan of her agenda, you have to give a hat-tip to her for spunk. She’s going head-to-head with Pelosi and Leadership again, this time over funding. With lots of followers, the media darling will reach a more than average number of likely donors.

All because the DCCC “made clear that [it will not do business with] vendors that work with candidates challenging incumbent Democrats.”

So, no support for primary candidates.

Hang on to that nugget for those quiet moments when New Hampshire Democrats complain about Republicans who openly reject primary challengers to President Trump.
