We shared Ed Naile’s suspicion that Jussie Smollett’s hate crime was a hoax. Too many things made no sense. Not the least of which was MAGA hat wearing white supremacist gay-bashers with bleach. Out trolling homosexual actors of color at 2 am on a record-cold Chicago morning. And then letting them keep his Subway sandwich.
You should have ditched the sandwich Jussie.
The Chicago PD investigated. And they may have found themselves some “perps.” Just not the ones described by the alleged victim or in the context described.
Chicago police raided the home of two “persons of interest” Wednesday night, a relative of those men says.
Police took bleach, shoes, electronics, receipts and other items from the home.
The men, who are both of Nigerian descent, have appeared as extras on the show and their attorney, Gloria Schmidt, says they do both know Smollett.
If There Was a Hate Crime Committed…
Smollett was either attacked by ‘extras’ from his show Empire and not MAGA hat wearing white supremacists or, they all staged the hoax to smear innocent people based entirely on their own bias. And that sounds a lot like the Left’s definition of a hate crime. Yes?
When someone is so convinced that persons x or y are evil to the point that they would fabricate a crime to implicate them, that’s a crime. Just ask Nathan Phillips.
And while there were plenty of willing dupes in entertainment and media who expressed outrage – indicting Trump supporters without a shred of evidence (again) this lot probably won’t find letters from lawyers waiting for them.
Unlike other forms of discrimination, Trump supporters include women, gays, blacks, Latino’s, and every other flavor at the DNC Baskin – Robbins Identity Politics cotillion. Legal redress would be impossible. Which is why the Chicago PD needs to complete their investigation. If the results justify it, charges need to be brought against the “Smollett Late Nite Family Players” for false reporting and pulling officers and detectives away from actual crimes of which Chicago has plenty.
This means that in their zeal to perpetuate a stereotype Smollett and company probably did more damage to people of color than any of the folks they are trying to smear. Or the president who has done more for them than any recent president including the half-black Barry Obama.
Closing note regarding Smollett’s providing redacted phone records to the police. “A source familiar with the records provided by the Empire star states that Smollett downloaded his phone activity into a spreadsheet and then deleted certain phone calls before handing over the records. “He did the [detectives’] job for them because then they only had to focus on the numbers he deleted.”
