Here’s a headline that’s missing from atop every media outlet in the state. For the second time this week House Democrats have voted against paying Federal workers. That includes New Hampshire’s Ann Kuster and Chris Pappas.
(Godfather Politics) Rep. Crenshaw slammed the Democrats for using federal workers as pawns in their cynical political power play against President Trump.
“This is a very little-known fact but it’s very important,” Crenshaw, said. “Over the last week, we voted twice on a motion to recommit, which would send an appropriations bill back to committee, in order to pay federal workers.”
“Now this is separate from the bipartisan plan to give them back pay. That’s separate. This is two other bills that would actually pay them in real time. This would actually pay them right now.”
The roll call on the last motion to recommit shows that both Kuster and Pappas obstructed the Republicans latest effort to pay Federal employees during the shutdown. A wholly partisan political vote. And no one need be surprised.
All that wailing and gnashing of teeth is street theater” for their media allies. They could care less if employees of the government get paid because they are gambling on their “poverty” to help them win a political fight.
The one where they create continued uncertainty and instability across the nation. By defending a border strategy that allows criminals, drugs, and even terrorists unfettered access to our friends, families, and neighborhoods.
