Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Promise made – promise kept. May the peace of God be upon all of you, dear readers. May you spend tonite and tomorrow with family and friends, sharing in the blessings of this Holy Season. Put away the politics of this age away this night and tomorrow; reflect on the age to come. God made that promise in Isaiah generations before the Son of God was born – and we also have His promise of what is to come: that He will come again. We are because He lives and through His sacrifice, we are promised eternal life.
