I don’t know about you but I’ve never seen a job description or an S.O.P (Standard Operating Procedures) manual for the wife of the President. Sure, they have a staff for stuff but nowhere in the Constitution, in legal statue, or White House notes is there any description of what a First Lady is supposed to do. However, it does seem that Kate Andersen Brower of the Clinton News Network has her on very special secret one and is trying to read Melania Trump the riot act because she doesn’t know her place (emphasis mine, reformatted):

In a rare interview Wednesday night Melania Trump proved that she doesn’t understand what it means to be first lady. She told Fox News’s Sean Hannity that “opportunists who are using my name” are the hardest part of being first lady, again making the job about herself and her family instead of taking the opportunity to talk about the challenges she sees other people facing.
Really? And what are her credentials for saying that? Oh yeah:
She reserved her harshest words for the media, her husband’s favorite punching bag. The biggest challenge she faces as first lady, she said, is from “comedians to journalists to performers, book writers.” Really? Is her family’s legacy the thing that worries her most? After all the pain she has witnessed as first lady, from meeting with a survivor of the Parkland, Florida, high school shooting to visiting with children separated from their parents at the border, has the media really been the most difficult part of her job?
If so, that is a big problem.
Hmm, I remember Hillary being an absolute pitbull when it came to defending philandering Bill from the numerous “Bimbo Eruptions”, Nancy defending Ronaldo Magnus, Rosalynn defending Jimmy, and Michelle with Barry. So what is Kate Andersen Brower’s problem with Melania doing the same? Now, the way that Hillary did her “defending” went far beyond the pale in how she treated those pre-#MeToo women. Ditto for the Clinton sycophants. Note to Brower: that’s what spouses do for each other – defend and protect as possible.
Sure thing, Brower. As far as Parkland is concerned, was it the policies that Melania had someone put in place responsible for that murder rampage? Was it The Donald’s policies? Er, nope. Obama’s? Yep. But then again, Michelle “I wasn’t proud of this country until Barry got elected” Obama could do no wrong as far as CNN (and the other Leftist cable news misfits were concerned). Brower is just cementing both the perception and the reality of how they, ensconced in their Progressive arm chairs, look down in disdain on anyone not part of their Collective – and CERTAINLY not the wife of Trump! And she further fastens another meme around the Progressive neck: they’ve turned everything into a political view point:
The illusion that she was in some way a mollifying voice in this White House has been largely dispelled.
How is that her job, either? That’s an assumption that’s the role she should play – but how does Brower know that it isn’t happening? Or does she expect to always have the exclusive on how Melania is thinking or working on? How about this – maybe she’s just a normal First Lady and is loyal to her husband.
And before you speak out, Kate, remember your words about Hillary defending Bill.
