If I remember correctly health care was a big issue for the Left in the mid-terms. That got me thinking about women’s health. This lead to a passing memory about the contradiction between Democrat health care policies and Democrat rhetoric when it comes to that particular anatomical feature on biological women that is the acute focus of their women’s health narrative. And that reminded me that back in 2012 I wrote this.
Before the government can legally take other people’s money and spend it, even if it’s on traffic in and out of ‘your vagina’ they have to pass a law. You need a law to support taxpayer-funded abortion, a law for taxpayer-funded contraception, and other laws for whatever else it is about your vagina that constitutes “women’s health” and “human rights.” So you should be finding new places in your vagina for more laws not less. And not to scare “Don’t Tread on my Uterus” but every law requires scores of bureaucrats to write relevant rules and manage the regulations, implement them, and even enforce them, which will turn your uterus into a Law library and result in lady parts that have not only been thoroughly trampled on by government but will need to accommodate traffic from the ever-expanding bureaucracy.
And that’s not limited to the ‘bedroom,’ which if you forgot is the word used for the past forty-plus years to describe the only place in the Progressive universe where the government “shall not tread.” And they actually fell for that?
Thanks to ObamaCare, expanded Medicaid, and a fanatical devotion to taxpayer-funded abortion and contraception – colloquially referred to as family planning in the seventies and eighties – the government is treading on your uterus (because you both invited them in and then insisted they stay).
Yes, the vampires long ago crossed the threshold liberal ladies, and your response to this day is better suited to the sort of sparkling dialogue associated with the pornography industry.
Uncle Sam, I want more. Make it bigger. Shower me with…taxpayer-supported services. But stay out of my ‘bedroom’ /giggle.
Irony is a bitch, especially when the policies attached to the narrative you’ve been recycling like some feminist Gregorian chant do exactly the opposite of what you’ve been told you claim to want.
That’s laugh-out-loud funny.
But you know what’s really hilarious? Republicans have been the ones trying to get the government out – for lack a better word – of your “bedroom.”
As noted above taxpayer funding requires a state’s interest in the distribution and auditing of such expenses. The Democrat love affair with the endless expansion of government run health-care interests entrenches that obligation. The only cure is to reverse course. Return the system to a market-based private industry-driven model where competition also means more privacy and less Uncle Sam (chicka-wow-wow).
While you are grumbling about that sounds sexist but in an almost sensible sort of way, this too may surprise you. There are actual family planning services that exist, and have for decades, on private donations. Not that Planned Parenthood would need to go there. They are a multi-billion dollar international conglomerate pumping a small fortune every election cycle into the coffers of the very people chaining you and you ‘bedroom’ to the police state. Your money.
We’re not surprised. That’s how everything works on the left.
The fact that none of you ever seem to notice as you proudly march around in your vagina costumes telling us you are a slut and you vote only reinforces the opinion that the government successfully screwed up your education, which you also failed to notice.
Or maybe you have? You all seem so unhappy.
