What was my first thought when I heard it suggested that man’s brief encounter with Earth’s Moon was the most likely explanation for the moon ‘warming?’ That’s the moon warming. Send Tom Steyer up there to start a chapter of NexGen Climate. Moonbat Alpha Division. And bring some people with you so you have someone to badger with your nonsense.

Business Insider has the details but I’m going to have to go with the actual cause being the sun. I know, it’s a stretch. But the devices they implanted into the surface are different from the actual surface. Given the absence of much atmosphere, I’m guessing that over the decades these materials have absorbed or reflected the solar radiation a bit differently than the actual moon.
The new records suggest the moon’s surface temperature in the areas studied rose by roughly 3 to 6 degrees Fahrenheit (1.6 degrees to 3.5 degrees Celsius). Shallower probes recorded greater temperature increases than deeper ones and also heated up more quickly. That suggests the warming must have come from something on the moon’s surface, not a casing or a natural phenomenon.
Where there’s Man there’s warming
I’m no geologist and I don’t play one on the internet but wouldn’t the deeper probes have more moon surface area around them to act like a heat sink for the device? The dirt or rock will have a more constant temperature further below the surface. Blah blah blah. Geothermal heat exchange is a pretty basic concept. Deeper probe dissipates more surface heat away from the device. The deeper devices detected less ‘warming.’
Yes? No? Does it matter?
I’ve got no predisposed inclination to scream global warming every time something is measured at a slightly warmer temperature. And I find it dubious that the people who do (cry warming) have been wrong about so much so often for so long that they should not be taken seriously here. Why would I take them seriously (on this topic) on the moon?
I know. It’s much more en vogue these days to blame people for everything (unless they happen to work for the government and vote Democrat). And who can deny that astronauts were not only meddling they were also men and white.
