Cheshire County Sheriff: Earl Nelson

by
Rick Olson

headerI have personally known Earl for over 30 years and as a person he is one of the finest individuals I have had the privilege to know.  That is saying a great deal in law enforcement because I can tell you, an individual’s personality can shape how he or she interacts with the community in a very substantial way.

It is with great enthusiasm that I support Earl in this run for Cheshire County Sheriff.

I first met Earl years ago when I was Cheshire County Deputy myself, working under the watchful hand of the Venerable Sheriff Ken Lysitt. Earl is personable, decent, fair-minded and a good person to the core. Cheshire County could not ask for a better Sheriff in Earl Nelson. He has served as Police Chiefs for Roxbury, Chesterfield and my old stomping grounds, Dublin NH. He has often stepped in and fulfilled interim roles in Cheshire County towns and has been a reliable resource for Cheshire County Law Enforcement.

We live in a time where law enforcement issues are complex, volatile and polarizing. That is why it is vitally important that Earl and people like Earl, assume the mantle of leadership. A steady hand and even temperament is required like never before. Earl Nelson is that guy.

Earl has a proven track record of Police administration and most recently, is an instructor at New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council.

Please support Earl Nelson for Cheshire County Sheriff. I am honored to support Earl and I feel as equally honored to have such a friend as Earl Nelson.
