The Marchand & Molly Show Got Nothing to Say About Record NH Employment

Marchand and MollyLast month we reported on New Hampshire breaking new ground on both employment and labor participation in May. June was even better.

Seasonally adjusted estimates for June 2018 placed the number of employed residents at 735,730, an increase of 2,540 from the previous month and an increase of 9,020 from June 2017.

I can’t seem to find any comment from Democrat Gubernatorial candidates Steve Marchand or Molly Kelly about this continued climb into record employment and robust labor force participation absent their apothecary’s inventory of socialist curatives.

That’s because it’s not supposed to happen. None of it is.

We’re supposed to have blown a hole in the budget. That’s what the script says. So don’ expect any deviation from the program.

The Marchand & Molly show is a Dramedy is trapped in formulaic Democrat drudgery. An economic goth-revival themed affair about two “up-and-coming” politicians and their quirky neighbors Karl and Marx. All of them rapped in an unjust world full of stupid people who just don’t understand how great everything could be if they’d just let them run their lives.

And the only time anyone is ever happy is when some mommy kills her baby in the womb.

Every episode is an endless stream of whining about how miserable we all are (or should be) and how the people who aren’t must be screwing over everyone else. Oh, and the government can fix it. Workers rights. Fifteen-dollar minimum wage. Paid family leave. Redistribute wealth (not yours but “theirs”). More government meddling. Nyah, Nyah, Nyah…elect us you Racist, Bigoted, White Supremacist homophobe then give us your guns while we raise your taxes.

Back in the real world, people are finding good-paying jobs and enjoying above-average wages which do not bode well for those hoping their democrat-socialist flatulence will suddenly smell like roses and reverse the political winds.

We’ll have to wait and see. There are still a few months left before the primary and a few more until the general. Whoever wins the Marchand & Molly Show award for best Democrat Candidate for Governor during a Booming Economy might not enjoy that distinction for very long.

We can only hope that’s the case. Because if they get back in power in any branch of government everyone will be made to pay, and I mean that literally.
