New Hampshire State House Rep Peter Hansen has come under fire for some remarks he made in an email thread to legislators…
From Huff Po.
State Rep. Peter Hansen (R) made the comment, first reported by New Hampshire political blogger Susan the Bruce, in an April 1 email debate with colleagues about a “stand your ground” gun bill. Hansen’s colleague, Rep. Steve Vaillancourt (R) had delivered a lengthy floor speech about the benefits of retreating instead of using deadly force, to which Hansen replied in an email:
What could possibly be missing from those factual tales of successful retreat in VT, Germany, and the bowels of Amsterdam? Why children and vagina’s of course. While the tales relate the actions of a solitary male the outcome cannot relate to similar situations where children and women and mothers are the potential victims.
State Rep. Rick Watrous (D) immediately criticized Hansen for his choice of words. “Are you really using ‘vaginas’ as a crude catch-all for women? Really?” he wrote. “Please think before you send out such offensive language on the legislative listserve [SIC].”
I don’t know about the legislative list serve Rep Watrous, I can’t speak to that, but do you pay any attention to your own party antics?
May 2012 – At a protest at UNH
The War on Women continues apace, and right here in the Granite State. According to ‘The New Hampshire,’ a UNH campus publication, on April 28th, 30 people “gathered outside of Thompson Hall to participate in a national rally for women’s reproductive rights in support of access to birth control, Plan B One-Step, Planned Parenthood, and abortions.”
“We all feel personally affected with what is going on right now. I think the most important thing to know is that it is not a liberal backlash. It is about human rights,” Greenwood said. “At the end of the day, it is up to every woman to decide what is right for her.”
The New Hampshire also reports that some of the participants had signs including, “This slut votes,” “Don’t tread on my uterus,” and “There’s no place in my vagina for your laws!” Now I can really get into that last point because if that were true, there would be no further need for discussion. But in the context of this debate lawless vagina’s are not even an option.
Democrat party issues supported by sluts, uteruses (or is it uteri?) and Vaginas, parading publicly. Note: Democrat Rep Timothy Horrigan was in attendance as a supporter of the sluts, uteri and vaginas.
Reported Aug 2012.
You can go read the post but I think the picture pays it more than just lip service. These are not Republican women, if that helps.
Then there’s this…
Reported in March 2013
Nothing says “don’t objectify me by my genitals” than a dozen billboard size pictures—posted in public–of a woman’s genitals. This, of course, makes sense to a left wing mind which is why it is happening on a University campus where left wing minds are hatched in a basement laboratory and handed out to the students like…
On Wednesday (March 6th), the University of Cincinnati Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Alliance and the UC Feminists will host a panel led by Planned Parenthood and Thursday (March 7th) will host an “art” display called Re-envisioning the Female Body featuring 12 billboard-sized images of female genitalia on campus.
Re-envsioning the female body as her sex parts- with 12 billboard sized pictures of women’s sex parts. Art imitates life, life imitates art…pass the wine and cheese please.
These are all examples of the kind of thing that the left engages in, in support of their own war on women, with their own women.
To help us tie these things togther Harrell Kirstein is here to say something stupid that makes for great blog content. Farther down in the Huff-Po article I quoted above, NH Democrat Party Spokesperson Harrell ‘Jersey Shore’ Kirstein goes off on a narrative rich Republican war on women rant in which he invokes the sacred cows of birth control and abortion.
Let’s see. The sluts, Uteri and Vaginas in NH, the women dressed as womens sex parts, and a major abortion provider aligned with an event that featured billboard sized images of womens sex parts, were all using “vaginas” as a locus for defining women’s rights and therfore defining women. So I can’t possibly imagine why anyone else wouldn’t just assume it was acceptable to use the well-documented left-wing objectification of womens sex parts for the rights of women in that context or of womenin general. You are, after all, what you insit on being.
So the Democrat party made the bed, said keep the governmnt out of the bedroom, then brought the vaginas out in public. And now it’s a problem?
And before I forget Harrell…
While you are being disgusted, perhaps you can answer a question for me? All of those Democrat women in elected office you are so proud of…most or all of them have received some kind of support from groups like EMILY’s list, which does not donate to any candidate who does not support live birth abortion….
Since you seem to think a Republican using the word vagina “disgusting behavior”, despite the lefts marching vaginas all over the fruited plain in defense of women and their rights, how do you–as spokesperson for New Hampshire Democrat women–think they feel about the live birth abortions performed by Kermit Gosnell in his government licensed abortion mill? As supporters of government sanctioned abortion and live birth abortion, they must be OK with a doctor who snips the spines of living infants in the name of women’s rights. Yes? No? Is this not the defining moment for a woman who controls her body? The destruction of innocent life living outside it? To have your spine cut while you discover your first breath and see your first light? If not, is there some other form of execution for infants born alive and aborted that these oh so civilized New Hampshire Democrat women prefer? They must have a preference and we’d love to know what it is.
Hold that thought. I’ll revisit this later with the names of born alive abortion supporters (who have accepted campaign money from groups that support it or demand it) like Maggie Hassan, Sylvia Larsen, Ann Kuster, Jeanne Shaheen, and others, so that the people will know whom to ask. Until then, the populace might want to consider your qualifications for deciding what is disgusting, hmm?
As for the matter at hand, New Hampshire House Republican Minority leadership has denounced Peter Hansen’s remarks instead of rightly observing that the same Democrat party that is obsessed with having the government directing and controlling our lives, behaviors, even the meanings of the words we use and the sorts of speech we may engage in, is the same Democrat party that has women parading around with signs or costumes or posting billboards declaring the vagina and womens private parts as synonymous with women and their rights.
The hypocrisy is so thick I can barely see my Keyboard as I type, and yet once again, the Republicans were too busy running away to see it.
Why am I not suprised?
