Potato as Gateway Drug?People who make their living as a result of the potato are marketing the fabulous spud as the kid friendly vegetable that can lead kids to…more vegetables.  Yes, the potato is a gateway vegetable. The campaign to save the potato is a response to new Federal guidelines that could banish the white potato from government funded school lunch programs.

Potato racism?

That’s right, white potatoes are evil and the government is here to right all wrongs.  Sweet Potato–not so bad.

My take?  Just one more reason to break up the government monopoly on education.  If you are not on the dole it’s that much harder for them to mess with you.  And these are potatoes we’re talking about here.  Potatoes!
