“…He needed a huge night to have a shot…he HAD a huge night”

From James Pindell:

Your candidate did very well tonight…

Indeed!  This is what James had to say:

I had posted up my "look to see" questions here, and now for my results.  Overall, I think that these are fair:

  • Frank Emiro
    • Question: can he persuade me that taxpayers will always come first instead of the special interests that are public unions?  And will he give us a real indication of what his guiding light is?
    • Answer: Nope…his loyalty is to the unions….and to the casino owners.  I see a horrible collusion, as the revenues from the latter going to create more jobs for the former – thus expanding government.  Frank also has decided that the State has a revenue problem; taxpayers have to give MORE to Concord.
  • Jack Kimball
    • Question: he has become a very good public speaker – can he show that even as he is "chained" to a podium – and will being on TV rattle his cage?  Will he go big and make the case, or over do the histronics?
    • Answer: At times, it did look like he was chained – and would have rather stalked the stage.  That said, he answered every question with all of the points he’s been making the entire campaign and his trademark passion transcended the podium.  I had him doing very well.
  • John Stephen
    • Question: slick or well prepared?  he’s known to prep his answers extremely well (to the point of being "check off") – what will happen if a "different" question comes up?  Or, in some way, is the "Dollars From Donuts" still in his head and will someone try to put it there again?
    • Answer: no Dollars From Donuts, but at times, I wondered when the questions would be answered…and some got short shrift (and that was being kind).  He had to show that he was heads and shoulders better than anyone else on the stage – that didn’t happen as Jack was equally (and better) at giving answers, and Jack had more heart.  He had to "make the sale" in a big way – but did show that he doesn’t own the outcome perhaps the way that he and the NH GOP might have wanted.
  • Karen Testerman
  • Question: can she present smoothly (as she does know her stuff)?  And can she convince folks she can break past her "social issues" background?
  • Answer: No.  Once again, my brow furrowed as I KNOW that she can speak well and pointedly.  Yet, at almost every large audience event, she has had problems with articulation and answer formulation – I just don’t get it.

The big loser was John because he wasn’t the big and clear winner last night.  Jack is consistent – if you go to any of the other debates I have recorded, Jack is always on message, sharp on the points, and always from the aspect of fighting for America, fighting for NH, and most importantly, fighting for the Principles that made us a great and free nation.

I ask that you give your vote to Jack Kimball on Tuesday in the NH Gubernatorial Republican Primary.
