Thursday night, John Burt of NH Politics with John Burt, put on a gubernatorial debate for the Republican candidates: Frank Emiro, Jack Kimball, John Stephen, and Karen Testerman. Ray Wiezoreck. Executive Councilor, was the moderator.
This clip is of the opening ceremony.
Apologies that the clip "joins in progress" – please note that because the Radisson Manchester couldn’t get their technical act together and figure out what the freaking password was for their own wireless router, I was late with the start of the live streaming – from where this clip was taken.
Now to be sure, the Banquet Manager was very polite, very helpful, and a complete gentleman in shuffling the various passwords back and forth (and for a fee of $35 of WiFi access for a mere two hours, I expected such). It wasn’t until I decided to switch access points / WiFi hotspots that the Radisson had internally that I finally got a connection.
WiFi access, and paying for such, is such a pain in the butt for travellers. No, I don’t travel hardly at all any more on biz (hey, after years of 85K miles / year in the air, I LOVE being home – I willingly have made the financial tradeoffs to have a life with family, friends, and interests). But it always seems to be the norm that the higher priced hotels want high a la carte pricing for everything while the lower tiered hotels supply it as an included part of their service offerings.
Sure, the fee was paid, but it doesn’t mean I won’t forget it.
