Left in Extremis

Democrats make emotional proclamations about who hold views outside the mainstream of American thought.  (Hint – it is always those who pose any threat to their political power.)  If you do not agree with them you are an extremist and having a majority control of the media and entertainment allows them to get away with this.

What is an extreme view according to the left?  Thinking that you own the property you work to earn.  It is their opinion that income and property exist because they let it exist.  You didn’t build it, you didn’t earn it, unless you vote Democrat, and then there might be a waiver as long as you are on good behaviour.

Abortion is another issue where anyone who disagrees with the left is out in left field–or is that right field?  Once again, nothing could be further from the truth.

Notable Quote: Claude Frederic Bastiat

It is not because men have made laws, that personality, liberty, and property exist.  On the contrary, it is because personality, liberty, and property exist before hand, that men make laws. … Nature, or rather God, has bestowed upon every one of us the right to defend his person, his liberty, and his property, since … Read more

Is the Plan To Scuttle the S.S. ObamaCare?

On Christmas Eve, it will be three years and nine months since President Barack Obama signed the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, into law.

Seven decades ago, it took less time — 3 years, 8 months and 26 days, from December 7, 1941, to September 2, 1945— for the nation to endure the attack on Pearl Harbor, rebuild an undermanned and underequipped military, put the nation’s industrial might on a wartime footing, prosecute World War II, complete the Manhattan Project, and force the surrender of Nazi Germany and Japan.

Sorry, But The State DOES Have An Interest in Marriage

The State has a very necessary role in marriage.  A task tied directly to the reason behind the existence of the state in the first place.

Let us begin with this.  Why do states, or more generally speaking, governments exist at all?  Government’s are created to tap into the benefit of mutual self-interest.  They exist to allow for a militia of like minded individuals to protect and defend natural rights.  The most important of these natural rights are the right to personal liberty and property and to act in defense of your person and property.

The American government, and that of its several states, exist to defend the shared interest in these (and other) individual rights.

So what about the state’s interest in marriage?

Senator Ayotte On The Recent Budget Bill

From a Reader:  NH Senator Kelly Ayotte’s response regarding the “Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013.  Note the bits about veterans benefits cuts and then read what I posted here yesterday re; Jeanne Shaheen.
Dear Mr xxxxxx:

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013
(H.J. Res. 59). I appreciate hearing from you.

On December 18, the Senate passed a budget proposal that includes a
framework for spending levels through the end of Fiscal Year 2015 and
some relief from indiscriminate sequestration cuts. I want nothing more
than for Congress to pass a responsible budget for our nation that
provides fiscal certainty and offers some relief from sequestration to
restore our military readiness. While I appreciate the work of House
Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Senate Budget Committee
Chairman Patty Murray (D-WA), I could not support the legislation as
written because it fails to address the biggest drivers of our nation’s
skyrocketing debt and instead unfairly singles out military retirees by
cutting their hard-earned retirement benefits by $6 billion — including
disabled veterans who retire because of their injuries. In other words,
this deal is achieved on the backs of our military men and women who
have put their lives on the line to defend our nation.

Relentless

This is a great review of Obama’s abuse of the term relentless, and how, frankly–like most else that comes from this Presidents mouth–it doesn’t mean a damn thing, and everyone on the planet except Obama, the Media, and the Obamazombies know it. The article is actually about the lack of enforcement regarding sanctions against Iran, … Read more

72% Of Americans – Big Government is The Biggest Threat to The Country

Gallup is reporting that a record high 72% of Americans view big government over big business and big labor as the biggest threat to the future of the country, which aligns equally with the primary motivation behind that ‘extremist’ TEA Pary.

So.  I’m curious how the Democrats will want to spin this?

“We’re not for big government, we’re for huge government so this poll doesn’t apply to us.”

“See, we told you America is racist!”

“You can’t believe this poll because Gallup is part of the Kochtopus!”

“Hey, let’s expand Medicaid!”

“We need to start Bombing Syria Now!”

“At this point, what difference does it make?”

Will NH Senate Republicans Come Out Against the ACA/Medicaid Death Tax?

medicade- Looks refreshing, but always comes back to haunt you later
Medic-ade – It Looks Refreshing at first…

Something else we might want to ask our cadre of ObamaCare supporting Democrat legislators this election season.

1) Why did you vote for a bill (ACA) knowing that it made insurance so expensive that older middle class citizens who need each other as much or more than ever would be better off divorced as a result of your support?

2) Did you vote for it becasue after our senior citizens were forced into expanded Medicaid by ObamaCare  they could be subject to a death tax with states able to seize assets of the deceased regardless of income level?

And here’s one for New Hampshire legislators who are still trying to expand Medicaid in New Hampshire.
