Hiding VA Waiting Lists Probably Goes All The Way To The Top

VAEarly on in the fight against the government takeover of Health Care (Health Insurance/ObamaCare) the VA was frequently used as an example of what could inevitably happen.  While the VA hospitals are a great idea, in practice, they are like any other government-run entity.  The private sector could do much better for less.  And we predicted, as did many others, that the wait lists for services, and death panels–which is what the wait list becomes after so-and-so decided who gets care when and who does not (for whatever reason)–would follow.

Missouri Considers Arming Teachers

Missouri Considers arming teachers… Although lawmakers failed to pass a bill that would override federal gun laws, the Republican-majority Legislature has approved and now forwarded part of that legislation to the governor’s office. Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon will now decide whether teachers and other school personnel will be allowed to have carry and conceal firearms … Read more

Letting Boys be Boys

“What ever happened to letting “boys be boys?” Take these two cases: In one, a seven-year-old boy was sent home for nibbling a Pop Tart into a gun. In another, a teacher was so alarmed by a picture drawn by a student (of a sword fight), that the boy’s parents were summoned in for a … Read more

Bob Copeland Is No Robert Byrd

I am an ardent defender of free speech but there are some words for which I have little use.  The only time you will ever see or hear me use the “N-word,” is when I am quoting some liberal, typically a black liberal, and only in context.  It’s offensive no matter who uses it, but some folks get a pass and that’s typically the only reason I’d bring it up.

This past week 82-year-old Bob Copeland, an old white guy from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, called the President an F-word N-word, so this is a departure for me.  He’s not the typical liberal hypocrite or a protected servant on the progressive plantation.  He is a former lawyer and an elected police commissioner, and the world wants him to resign.

Obama Coalition About to Come Apart…

Obama Coalition is about to come apart – American Spectator Obama’s critical support comes from the upper crust of America, the citizens who live comfortably sheltered in academia and the non-profit sector, who don’t care much about electricity or the manufacturing economy but who honestly believe that we can shut down the whole middle portion … Read more

Coos County Republican Committee refuses Scott Brown PAC Donation

NH-GOP_logoPress Relese

At the monthly meeting held on 15 May 2014, the Coos County Republican Committee became the first committee in the state to refuse to accept a donation by the Scott Brown PAC. Mr Brown, who is running for the US Senate in the primary against 3 other contenders, has donated a large sum of money through his PAC to each county committee. In the course of the meeting on Thursday, every member of the committee present was given the opportunity to discuss their views on the matter, after which a vote was taken.

Chairman Eric Catman stated ” While we understand the donation came with no strings attached, our committee must maintain total impartiality until after the primary. This impartiality must not only be maintained, but be SEEN to be maintained, and accepting this donation would have compromised that. We felt our integrity as a committee could have been called into question and so while we thank Mr Brown and his PAC for their efforts, we must respectfully decline.”

Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad vs. Jeanne Shaheen’s Definition of Islam

Jeanne Shaheen doesn’t want us to confuse Boko Haram with Islam.  I’d like to make sure we don’t confuse Jeanne Shaheen with intelligence. State Department official Robert Jackson, provoked Shaheen’s comment when he argued that “Boko Haram’s philosophy is not an Islamist philosophy.” “I agree and I’m glad you made that point,” Shaheen responded. “Clearly, … Read more

Gilford School Board – If It Were Left-Wing Outrage

I was talking to a reader about the Gilford School board and their cavalier attitude toward a teen-porn curriculum.   It occurred to us that if this was about a parent objecting to a moment of silence or something else to which the left objects, the Democrats would respond as they did in Merrimack back in the 90’s.  The left opposed a policy and to make their point they waged an all out culture war and PR blitzkrieg.

1. Brought in Rent a mob groups from MA to protest outside the School Board meetings.
2. Students wore black arm bands to protest the Anti Gay policy
3. Left-wing advocates would show up to School Board meetings and use the public comment time to lash out at the School Board.
4. They filed a law suit against the town of Merrimack for the policy.
5. The media tried to drag Republican presidential candidates into the controversy during the 1996 Pres Primary.

The reader was wondering, with regard to the Gilford School Boards position that “teen porn is a necessary part of a public education,” are local activists…

Democrat Prophets Predict Global Catastrophe (again)- Solution: Ark full of Democrat Cronies Built With Other People’s Money

homer end is nearGlobal Warming Mythology has evolved into climate change, and then climate catastrophe.  The Global Warming book of Revelations predicts the coming of the Gore Horseman of the apocalypse.  And if we do not spend massive amounts of other people’s money (again) on things only Democrats want, the world as we know it will end.

The only evidence to support this is the cyclical and hyperbolic ranting by the benefactors of the money and policies prescribed as the cure.  So what if it is cooling, that’s warming too–we need more of your money so we can fix the weather.

This used to be called fraud, but now it is called science?
