War on Men?

Heather Mac Donald Over 77 percent of all U.S. murder victims in 2012 were male; targets of non-lethal shootings are even more disproportionately male. Four of the six homicide victims of Elliot Rodger, the lunatic narcissist who went on a killing spree in Santa Barbara in revenge for female rejection, were male. And yet the … Read more

Jeanne Shaheen Is Thankful for Bowe Bergdahl’s ‘Courage’

Michelle Obama - Jeanne Shaheen Bowe Burgdahl Jeanne Shaheen Is Thankful for Bowe Bergdahl’s ‘Courage’

June 2, 2014

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement after it was announced that Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl was being released after five years in captivity in Afghanistan:

“I was so grateful to hear of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl’s release after five years in captivity. His release is an incredible testament to our military and our country’s commitment to leaving no one behind on the battlefield. I am looking forward to him being reunited with his family soon and am thankful for his service, his sacrifice, and his courage.”

Bowe Bergdahl appears to have been a deserter and terrorist sympathizer who aided and abetted the enemy. It also seems clear that he was portrayed as a prisoner of war so he could be exchanged for as many high ranking Taliban leaders as could be managed.

Obama and his administration fell for it, probably clawing for some semblance of foreign policy win. Jeanne Shaheen did what she always does–went along with Obama for the ride. But Bowe is looking a lot like a suicide bomber without the bomb–potentially trading his life for five leading Taliban terrorists.

That Makes It Jeanne Shaheen’s War As Well.

President Peace Prize, NH’s Jeanne Shaheen, even Congresspersons Carol Shea-Porter and Paul Hodes (Paul Who?), claimed that Afghanistan was the war we should be fighting.

Well, after six years under Obama (with Shaheen on the hook for six years as well), guess what?  It’s Their War.  This is Obama’s War.  It is Jeanne Shaheen’s War.

Why is Afghanistan, as Bob Woodward correctly termed it, Obama’s war? Del Castillo’s sharp pencil work shows that during the period 2002-2013, $650 billion have been appropriated for the Afghan war effort, and a whopping $487.5 billion of that (or 75%) took place after President Obama took office (see accompanying chart).

Sylvia Larsen is Retiring

Long time collector of money from abortion mills, and other progressive special interests, raiser of taxes, friend of pencil pushing bureaucrats and unions everywhere, State Senator Sylvia Larsen is retiring. That’s all I have for now.  Heard it on the radio coming home, and now I’m back out the door, but I thought I’d share.

Bergdahl Exchange Deal – There are A Lot Of Questions

Sgt, Bowe Bergdahl’s exchange for five top Taliban leaders is indicative of the aire of incompetence that surrounds the Obama Administration and everything it does.  (Probably because everything they do is political.) Should Obama have exercised unilateral authority to make the exchange (without notifying congress)? Was Bergdahl a deserter? Did he convert to Islam and … Read more

Congressional Dems – “Six for 06” Strategy Will Be A Winner for 2014

Huff Po “As ‘Six for ’06’ did, it will have specific ideas that contrasts Republicans siding with special interests, and Democrats siding with the middle class,” said Rep. Jeanne Shaheen Named in Senate Ethics Complaint

ShaheenJeanne Shaheen named in Senate Ethics Complaint.

WSJ- Congress Abetted the IRS Targeting of Conservatives.

On Monday the Center for Competitive Politics filed a complaint with the Senate Select Committee on Ethics against nine U.S. senators: for interfering with IRS tax proceedings; for misusing official resources for campaign purposes; and for improper conduct that reflects poorly upon the Senate. Attempting to use the IRS to advance a partisan, electoral agenda is a fundamental assault on good government. We believe these elected officials have staged such an assault.

The timeline goes something like this.  Disclose act – failed.  Disclose act – failed.  Letters to the IRS…

Envrio-nazis say – ‘No heat for you!’

beaufort-sea iceWhen I heard that COSMOS was coming back on I was a bit excited–for a few seconds.  I enjoyed the original, way back when, though I was not tuned in at the time to potential abuses of the medium for axe-grinding or propaganda.

The first episode of the new COSMOS wasted no time demonstrating that axe-grinding and propaganda were part and parcel of its entertainment experience.  “Science” would be at the beck and ca of the writers, who proved themselves to be liberals, likely funded with money from liberals, who were going to use the show to grind their axes.

This week, it may have aired already, was the “Global Warming is a fact and we have to do something for the children” episode.  I watch 24 and there were ads. A lot of ads.  With scary images.  It was like Leni Riefenstahl had written an episode of COSMOS for the greater glory of the rent-seeking climate fascists and their media allies.

GrokSHOTS! – We Need a Law

California passed 11 new anti-gun laws after Sandy Hook.  When Elliot Rodgers, wielding knife, gun, and BMW, decided to kill, none of that mattered. The left’s answer to this, and everything, is that we need a law (another law) that will only disarm the law-abiding and reduce them to victims of crazy folks and evil-doers, … Read more

More Hassanpfeffer – Governor Hassan, ‘Wood’ U Care To Talk About The Travel Ban?

turkey-flagGovernor Maggie Wood Hassan–I’m surprised we’re not calling her Mags, in the same vein by which candidate Ann McLane Kuster became ‘Annie’–executed a travel ban on the state of New Hampshire’s public employees, but excluded herself.  Governor Hassan is traveling to the land of Turkey and it is difficult to soar with eagles when you fly to Turkey–in contradiction to your own budget tightening nostrums.

But then Margret is a contradiction factory…can we call her Peg? Mags Hassan is a recipient of the Order of NARAL, a member of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Specula, one of those names on EMILY’s list that has not been aborted but lives to defend the practice of turning wombs into Auschwitz while ranting about how ensuring that women can extinguish female babies at will is a women’s health issue.  So while a travel ban with an executive waiver is an issue, that is not the contradiction of which I speak.
