Gene Chandler says he’ll bring unity–Skip just reminded us yesterday right here.

Chandler said he’d be Mr. Unity in the same article in which the sour cream of our RINO crop endorsed Mr. “Anyone with an ‘R’ is a good Republican” Chandler.  So I assume the unity of such ‘any old ‘R’ Republicans is a part of that scheme?

Well, I have a question.  If Mr. O’Brien is chosen by the caucus for the job as Speaker of the NH House, that is to say a majority of elected Republicans prefer O’Brien, is the unity deal off?   Will Mr. Chandler be unifying the not as Republican Republicans in the NH House who didn’t vote for O’Brien if Chandler is not in the top spot?

Soon to be former congressperchild (can’t use ‘man’ or ‘son’ that would be sexist) Carol Shea-Porter, had an opportunity to vote for the Keystone XL pipeline this past week.

She was not one of the 31 House Democrats to reach across the aisle in search of a solution to create jobs or lower energy prices.  She voted against it.

But how else could she vote?  Canadaphobe Shea-Porter is on the record opposing affordable energy from our neighbors to the north. Oh, And then there are the Koch bros™, that mystical evil that hides under every left-wingers bed.

Hasn’t Governor Sununu done enough damage already?  Before you say it, that win in 2010 (while he was ‘running’ the NHGOP) only happened because of an entire movement in his party that he embraced when he thought they would give him what he wanted, but has since despised and scorned as they have refused to lay down for his brand of capitulation.

Which brings me to this, circa last year, from Jeffrey Lord at American Spectator (H/T to Travelling Mike Rogers for the link) – A classic tale of the failures that follow Governor John Sununu’s establishment (r)epublican ‘Leadership.’  It’s a long read, but has some essential history for every activist in New Hampshire; Party Regulars and check writers could benefit as well.  Here is an excerpt.

When Bush 41 ran as the heir to Reagan in 1988 he carried New Hampshire with 62.49% of the vote. In fact, that was down over 6 points from Reagan’s 68.66% New Hampshire win in 1984, but still a solid win. But after four years of the GOP Establishment Restoration in the Bush White House? Managed by Mr. Sununu himself ? Bush 41 received a mere 37.69% of the New Hampshire vote.

From the “Republicans” who couldn’t be bothered to stop Medicaid Expansion, impositions on free speech, attacks on gun rights, all bucket list items for the Democrat party, we get the official endorsement of Gene Chandler for Speaker of the House.

The letter is addressed to “representative-elect,” signed by Ayotte, former Govs. John H. Sununu and Stephen E. Merrill, the Hon. Charles F. Bass and former Speakers Doug Scamman and Donna Sytek.

The letter asks the lawmakers to cast a vote for Chandler during the Republican caucus on Tuesday, Nov. 18.

“We have all worked with Gene over the years and know that he will listen carefully to all members of the Republican caucus and will put you first,” the letter said.

So, instead of strong leadership to prevent Republicans from further advancing the Democrat agenda under the rubric of ‘listening to progressives,’ the same party leadership that cuts and runs from its own party platform wants you to vote for Gene ‘All you need is an (R) to be a Republican’ Chandler because he will listen?–an endorsement that  we already reported as a rumored fient to get someone else the DC Machine knows will do their bidding.
