A definition of the word “Shame” for the NH Elections

I was at a gathering of Conservative activists last night, and of course, the majority of the watercooler talk concerned that of the Sept 14 Primaries – US Senate, US Congress, NH House, NH Senate, and of course, NH Governor.

Which led me to put this up on FaceBook:

So, how many republicans here in NH are planning on voting for Democrat NH governor John "lied to us" Lynch while giving lip service to the Republican Candidate?   it’s time to bring the concept, accountability to, & the word "Shame" back to common usage.

Don’t tell me you hate where NH has descended to & be a "Great Enabler"…and vote for the Democrat leader here in NH.

Sure, he may be a nice guy – but he has overseen a 25% (-/+) rise in NH spending the last two cycles – THAT’S being smart?  The increase in the size of government – THAT’S being smart?  The enlargement of the Regulatory State (and resulting loss in freedoms here in the "Live Free or Die" state) –THAT’S being smart?

Remember this?

Nay, I say!  For those that publicly profess to BE Republican, to voluntarily decide to associate themselves with the Republican Platform, yet repudiate it semi-privately within closed groups and within the voting booth?

Shame on you!

I have no problem in voting your conscious – but be honest with yourself and the rest of of – if you care not for the consequences of your political donations and votes by supporting Democrat John "Do Nuttin’" Lynch, perhaps it is time to uncheck that R next to your name – and stop lying to both yourself and to others that may be depending upon you.

About getting into Heaven…

Three guys die and go to heaven.

St. Peter says "Listen – we’re having a really busy century, so we need to manage admissions tightly. Right now we can only admit people who have died in horrible fashions, and those who have died in a more mundane way will have to wait in limbo, and it could take a decade or two to work you in."

So St. Peter takes aside the first man, and asks him how he died.

"Well, I’d been suspicious of my wife having an affair for some time now, so today I came home from work early. I just knew the guy was in my apartment, but I couldn’t find him. I looked everywhere and was just about to give up, when I went out on the balcony of my 23rd story apartment and there he was hanging over the edge! He was just barely hanging on, there was no way he could climb back onto the balcony. It was a really stupid place to try to hide. I was livid, so I started punching him and clawing at his fingers, but he held on. Finally I went to get a hammer and started pounding on his fingers, and he fell down. But what really angered me was that he landed in some bushes and fell to the ground dazed, but basically OK! I was so mad I grabbed the refrigerator, threw it off the balcony and it landed on him. Unfortunately I was so riled up by the incident I had a heart attack and died."

Guinta Statement on “Anonymous” Smear Campaign

Manchester, NH – Brett Bosse, spokesman for the Frank Guinta for Congress campaign, has issued the following statement regarding what appears to be an illegal smear campaign conducted over the phone.

“We appreciate the Rich Ashooh campaign for immediately contacting us on this matter. The people behind this ‘anonymous’ and illegal smear campaign clearly wanted to implicate Rich Ashooh by falsely attaching his phone number to these calls. Not only is this illegal, it is gutless. This is not the first time Frank Guinta has been the subject of false attacks. Recently, Sean Mahoney has lobbed numerous false attacks against Guinta to cover up his own record of supporting liberals and liberal causes. Frank Guinta has run a clean, issue-based campaign for more than a year. These kind of dirty tricks have no place in New Hampshire politics.  We have already lodged a complaint with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, and ask for an immediate investigation into this matter.”

What they despise are tactics akin to the punji sticks in the jungles of Viet Nam….

Underhanded, below board; this is the ethics that NH wants as a Congressman?  Sean Mahoney, smiling broadly in one venue with the stiletto in the other?

President Obama: It isn’t what you say, it’s all about what you and your Sorry Socialist Society are doing…

Think I’m kidding?  Back in February, he was quoted as saying:

“You would be hard-pressed to identify a piece of legislation that we have proposed out there that, net, is not good for businesses,”…

…“We are pro-growth,” Obama said. “We are fierce advocates for a thriving, dynamic free market.”

Yeah, given the absolutely anemic economy, President "Never-worked-in-the-Private-Sector" Obama has certainly provided absolutely stellar (stellar, I tell you!) leadership.  Frankly, it is HIS policies, just like the FDR’s 70 years ago, that have locked things up into "stalled mode". Here’s a reaction to those words said a mere 6 months ago that can be summed up in a single word: uncertainty

Just last week, Paul S. Otellini, chief executive of Intel, said at a dinner at the Aspen Forum of the Technology Policy Institute that “the next big thing will not be invented here. Jobs will not be created here.”

Mr. Otellini has overseen two big acquisitions in the last two weeks — the $7.7 billion takeover of the security software maker McAfee and the $1.4 billion deal for the wireless chip unit of Infineon Technologies. If he is true to his word, those deals will most likely lead to job cuts in the United States, not job creation.

…But it seems clear that he wrote the letter because so much of his fund’s investments were being driven by the impact of politics. It appears he is no longer betting that a chief executive will make his numbers; he’s betting on what legislation Congress will pass next…

NH 9-12 Liberty Picnic – General John Stark Birthday Bash – Report Part 6: CAT and NRA

Last Saturday, the Rochester and DOver 9-12 Project groups held a picnic at the Guppy Pool complex in Dover, NH. A number of speakers were there addressing the crowd. Two of these were Matt Murphy and Steve DeMascus.

Matt Murphy is a friend of mine; a long term activist who has served in a number of capacities in a number of advocacy groups.  He has just joined the NRA where he will helping to mobilize NRA members and other Second Amendment loving folks and inform them as to the Second Amendment leanings and history off the candidates in both NH First and Second Districts (one of the few States in which this is happening – this should tell you something about the current incumbents).

This is Steve DeMascus who owns a series of martial arts studios here in New England.  He is starting a new venture: Citizens Against Terrorism (CAT); listen up!

Email Doodlings – “…would you consider helping to change it from the inside?…”

Another in a series of emails culled from some of the lists I’m on.  This was from a thread of on the idea of "not a tinker’s dam difference between them".

A bit of time has passed since I wrote the following – and the past several months has shown that Conservatives, TEA Party, 9-12ers, (and yes, Tim, rational libertarians!) have said "Thus far and no further!"

I started to work from within the Party after 2006 – I realized that the current Repubs had screwed up so badly, somebody had to go scream at them.  From the outside?  Didn’t work.  Inside (going to the local committee meetings, the county meetings, the state meetings) and arguing points based on Conservative values, based on Constitutional values, based on traditional values, was the only way to have MY voice heard.

It also allow other like minded people to start moving the Party in the right direction – back from whence it had strayed.  Look, the Progressives / Socialists / near Communists have all but taken over the Democrat Party – and did so by years of showing up, arguing, and getting themselves high up into their Party structure.  They are winning their battles within their Party – which hopefully means, they’ll lose with the American people.  The question is, how much long term damage will they create before getting the boot?

And many "Repubs" have assisted in this, either because they too are Progressives, love their own power, or our equivalent of "useful idiots" (and yes, Chuck Hagel and Liz Hager come to mind).  We have to either remove them from Repub office  or structure, or wear them down so much that they leave on their own.

But that takes people like Phyllis Wood, Bill O’Brian, Dan Itse working hard on the "inside" – and they need help.  4 years ago, when I got up to speak in favor of…
