As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. As a TEA Party activist, citizen journalist, and pundit!, my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture.

Facebook Doodlings – on Traditional Marriage

A comment was made that the proposed bill(s) in NH concerning the repeal of Gay Marriage or that the State would not be involved in marriage at all:

The obvious problem is that many disagree that gay marriage is marriage from the traditional standpoint (and history). I agree with the notion that by getting the State "out of marriage", it is merely hiding from the issue – it doesn’t solve the problem. In fact, it can make it worse. The idea was that Govt only sanctions civil unions and not marriage still allows the problem to fester in the social arena – anyone can call anything that they want a marriage.

By slinking away, the State also punts on the next issue – why should civil unions only be between two people?

The moral authority in this country has been its Judeo-Christian background and philosophy (like it or not). This has been the underlying modus operandi for much of our legal system. The problem is, once that is removed, what is to prevent ANYTHING else from filling that vacuum? To this point, the gays have said "two" is the limiting factor but gender is irrelevant. This goes against almost any religious doctrine that is mainstream Western.

Granite Oath PAC – Newt Gingrich; Press Questions

Former US Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich spoke last night at the latest event hosted by Granite Oath PAC Chair, Ovide Lamontagne.  After he spoke for a few minutes and taking questions from the attendees.  Then he did something I’ve not seen yet – he decided to call out the Press in a unique way.  Instead of doing a "press gaggle" after addressing the crowd, he called them to the front of the crowd so that the crowd could hear the kinds of questions the "vaunted professional press – those "seekers of truth and light" would ask a national figure.  You could tell that they were NOT happy campers – THEY are the ones that put others on the spot; no one is supposed to do THAT to them!

While some are good and try to play it straight, some are nothing but lazy,  compromised, and partisan hacks.  After all, a couple of years ago at the Washington Press Corps (did Obama get it right when he pronounced it "corpse"?) when Obama said:

Most of you support me – all of you voted for me

Newt wanted to expose them for the slanted coverage towards Republicans (and him, especially); they did not let him down. Certainly, question 1 was a reasonable question.  However, Newt’s little exercise worked far better than he thought – I think most of the attendees just shook their heads at Questions 2 & 4; these are the best of the highly paid press corps that decide what is and what isn’t news?  The important issues confronting the country? A jewelery bill and a "gotcha" question.

Yeah, when the Press were called forward, I went up if for nothing more than to annoy the professionals (most of them just sneer at lowly bloggers). While I make no claim to be the brightest bulb in the box, at least I tried to do a follow up on something Newt actually said that night.  These hacks certainly showed their true colors.
