Former US Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich spoke last night at the latest event hosted by Granite Oath PAC Chair, Ovide Lamontagne. He spoke for a few minutes (below) before taking 11 questions from the about 50-75 attendees (and a smattering of MSMers taking notes and asking dufus questions – we shall discuss later). Wide ranging, he showed his skill in coherent, fact filled spiels spiced up with some pretty good one-liners that had a bite to them. Certainly, anyone competing against him in a debate will have his hands full. Normally, while I think of a college professor as one that would drone on, it was clear he has mastered the "throw it all in, chunk it up nicely, and serve in fairly short fashion" type of political rhetoric. And yes, this is the first time I have met him and heard him speak in person (that I remember anyways).
