Remember When We Warned You That New Hampshire Democrats Would Raise Taxes?

New Hampshire Republicans didn’t turn out to stop Democrats from raising taxes in 2018. A total of 1,322 votes statewide would have given us a 13-11 Republican majority on the Senate. That would have helped. And there are a lot more NH Republicans than cast votes in 2018. We know this. Now they will too.

Unlike Republican majorities which can be a bit shy about pushing a smaller government pro-liberty agenda, Democrats do the opposite. Everything, all at once, ram it through. Higher taxes, more regulation, bigger government. Run endless PR end–arounds on any Republican who balks.

We warned everyone what would happen if they didn’t step up to stop it, and it’s happening. Democrats cut loose the Tax Kraken and it’s coming to destroy the New Hampshire advantage. And more Democrats are in on the destruction than ever.

Take a look.

Percentage of House Democrats who voted to raise Taxes and Fees
100% FOR creating an income tax with rates set by an unelected bureaucrat (HB712)
99% FOR creating an income tax with rates set by an unelected bureaucrat (SB1)
97% FOR creating a new tax on capital gains (HB686)
94% FOR creating an additional room tax (HB641)
99% FOR raising business taxes (HB623)
94% FOR creating a tax on vaping, making it harder to quit smoking (HB680)
98% FOR doubling and tripling various fees (HB682)
99% FOR letting bureaucrats increase electric rates (HB166)
Percentage of House Democrats voting Against lower taxes and fees
99% AGAINST reducing electric rates (HB157)
99% AGAINST prohibiting an income tax (CACR12)
100% AGAINST reducing the statewide property tax (HB497-0113h)
99% AGAINST reducing the interest & dividends tax (HB185)
99% AGAINST reducing electric rates (HB477)

The Democrat-controlled State Senate is no better and, in some cases, could be worse. So, the only barrier we’ve got is Gov. Sununu and you.

He needs your support to veto dozens of bad bills. Republican in the legislature needs to hear from all of us about supporting those vetoes by voting against veto overrides.

We can’t change the results of the 2018 election. But we can prevent it from harming job creators and families. And we can take that lesson with us to the ballot box in 2020 and kick those Democrats out of the majority.

Because the Democrats will not stop, ever, not even after we become New York or California.

In case you missed it before November 2018 (and yes, the new one will look much worse).
