This has been several years in the making since the day that the NH AG’s investigator decided to get into a fight with Joe Barton as he was watching voters (more background here). Long story short, his appeals were denied to the NH Supreme Court; he ended up petitioning the NH Executive Council for a miscarriage of Justice to clear his name and reputation.
The vote was, naturally, along Party lines: the three Republicans (Kenney, Prescott, and Wheeler) voting to grant the pardon while the two Democrats (Volinsky and Pappas) voted to deny.
Glad to see that the hearing was during this session and very glad to see that this will not affect Joe’s career. Well done, my friend!
