Welcome to your Wednesday, Groktober 21st, 2026 morning update.
Democrats like to argue that they are the party of civility. Many, many decades ago, in my youth, I watched the evening news during dinner, where we would see stories about anti-globalist brick throwers causing all kinds of chaos, and they were always left-wingers.
Used to hear about campus riots started by left-wingers. Bombings all over the world, and quite a few and quite often in America, were always the left-wingers.
Many years later, when I got into politics, well, Occupy Wall Street, left-wingers. The Rodney King riots. More civility from the left.
BLM riot civility, LA riot civility. Happy that Brian Thompson got executed on a street in New York City, civility. Celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination civility. Disappointment when another left-winger failed to assassinate the president of the United States, civility. We support baby killer Lindsay Clancy civility.
The list is far too long, even if I were to put it into a one-hour podcast. But to frame things up, we also have tens of thousands of examples of regular rank-and-file Democrats carrying 8647 signs at everything from No Kings rallies to sidewalk sign waves.
I remember the civility narrative starting shortly after the rise of the Tea Party, after the election of Barack Obama, and then the twenty ten midterms wipeout of the Democrats in state legislatures and Congress.

The civility narrative was prominent – they decided they needed to get back into the job of projection. It’s not us, it’s them, and if we say it often enough, maybe some fools will believe it.
More recently, the left wing incivility has gotten so bad that they’ve had to adjust their narrative just a tiny bit, as in it’s both sides. But of course, we’ve already talked about that. It is definitely not both sides. When someone on our side gets like that, we rhetorically beat the crap out of them and try to kick them out of the movement.
You embrace them and give them a parade.
So you probably love this guy.

Elijah is a 27-year-old black man who lost his primary to that awful white woman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz. We did a morning update on this particular situation. Schultz got her district redistricted, so she decided to run in a different district, a Black-majority district, and it already had four or five black candidates in the primary. Debbie Wasserman Schultz stepped in with her name recognition and her money, and she basically wiped them all out.
Elijah Manley is also an anti-ICE protester. Oh, surprise! And post-primary, I guess this is his new hobby.
Every Democrat needs to get behind the Democratic nominee for Senate. Anybody not doing that, I promise you I’m going to cut your effing head off. Any of you that don’t support Angie Nixon, I promise you I will make your life a living hell to the very end. End quote.
Democrats, you get the gist.
Not sure how credible the threat is, but he must have gotten a phone call because he had to turn himself in to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Former Florida House District Twenty candidate Elijah Manley surrendered to authorities Thursday and was booked into the Broward County Jail on two counts of making written threats to kill or cause bodily harm.
In other words, he’s being accused of Democrat civility.
