Their criteria consider safety, economy, education, taxes, livability, employment, healthcare, etc. New Hampshire ranks above the national average in 9 of 11 categories and in the top 10 in 4 categories. Republicans plan improvements in carefully considered adjustments; proposed Democrat changes would degrade life in New Hampshire.
Republican policies give New Hampshire the lowest murder rate in the US and the second lowest overall crime rate. Democrat policies, including defunding the police, cashless bail, and lax prosecution and sentencing, quickly return criminals to the streets to rape, rob, and murder more innocent people. Democrat anti-Second Amendment policies make law-abiding people defenseless. Everywhere they’re tried, Democrat policies result in more crime victims.
Republican pro-growth policies created New Hampshire’s #2-rated economy with low unemployment, high median income, the third-lowest tax burden, a 10.1% rainy-day fund, and an AA+ state credit rating.
Democrats already proposed a new sales and income tax (2027-0240, https://tinyurl.com/mw8fa4pn) and enormous new spending. Democrats opposed a Constitutional Amendment limiting government spending increases (CACR 18/2026).
Democrats talk about affordability, but their policies don’t lower costs; they increase our cost of living. Last time Democrats controlled the NH government, they created about 50 new or increased taxes and fees.
New Hampshire is rated #2 in education. Democrats push for more education spending without any evidence that more spending improves results. Republicans work to improve educational results to help children succeed.
