Welcome to your Thursday, September 10th, 2026 morning update.
Class warfare never really worked in America, but the commies could never drop it. Socialism uses envy and anger to replace the government you have with one that’s always worse.
Envy is, of course, budding fuel for everything in the Marxist toolbox, but the rich, well, they just make really easy targets, especially if the same Marxists undereducated you at exorbitant taxpayer expense, which they have.
Many of us can’t do math, so it’s easy to be manipulated into thinking that anybody who has more stuff than we do stole it. The rich just stole more of it.
That’s because Marxists and socialists are lousy economists. They don’t really know how wealth is created. They only know how to destroy it. And they’re very good at that.
So democrats and socialists are playing a trick on you. They say they’ll steal the wealth from the rich for you. What they’re really doing is running the rich off and stealing from you, including your rights and your property and your opportunities. All of it.
Lesson number one. Don’t think a crook dressed up as a politician is anything other than a crook.
Lesson number two. If they are willing to use violence, they are also willing to use it on you.
Lesson number three.
Quote: Over the past two decades, the combined net worth of the world’s hundred wealthiest individuals has surged from roughly one trillion dollars to over five trillion, though as we have seen with Elon Musk, these wealth estimates can fluctuate dramatically, yet fears that this unprecedented accumulation translates to unchecked social control are fundamentally misplaced. Over the same period, US household wealth increased by a factor of three.
So the share of overall household wealth held in the hundred wealthiest Americans doubled. The middle class tripled.
People’s concerns about this great accumulation of wealth are largely misplaced. Much of their anxiety stems from a confusion between economic success and political power.
Still, many politicians and pundits rally supporters by decrying wealth concentration. Five trillion is a pittance in the scope of today’s government debt and spending. And people who have it are the first ones to flee, Just look at New York. Look at California. Those are simple laboratory examples. And they leave because they can.
And with it the ability of wealth to enrich others through investment, innovation, and job creation. When we lose the wealthy, we lose a lot more than the envy associated with it.
Besides, the wealth the socialists actually want is yours. The American middle class has a combined wealth of roughly fourteen trillion dollars. We are also easier to fool. And more likely to buy into the envy narrative.
And while it is also true that the filthy rich have a lot more recreational wealth with which to buy things, including policy ideas, people, and politicians, money is no guarantee of success in politics. Ask Jeb Bush, Tom Steyr, Mike Bloomberg, and many others. Or even Elon Musk; his money has failed to win elections more than once.
As a practical matter, the rich are a distraction.
Your local town government is a far bigger threat to your liberty, property, prosperity, and just about everything else than any rich guy who the left has targeted as the cause of all your ills. Your local government has Reach Out and Touch You adjacency. And it is a true democracy, and therefore subject to mob rule.
Ironically, billionaires have less control over my life than unknown bureaucrats and low-level government officials do. Elon Musk cannot tell me whether I may or may not build an extension on my home, but my local building department, planning and zoning commission, and historic preservation committee can. Musk cannot make me install an electric vehicle charger on my new commercial construction, but the Colorado legislature can.
In New Hampshire, where the most popular bone to pick is property taxes, Democrats blame the state for something that is completely in the hands of local control, and therefore the people who vote in those local elections.
But the Democrat plan is also based on envy. Their own. They are willing to lie about property taxes that their education constituency raised. So they can strip local control over taxes and curriculum from you. And then they give it to themselves.
There are no billionaires or trillionaires involved in this local chicanery, or any other local oppression to which you are subject. That’s not to say the rich don’t have the ability to exert influence.
At the end of the day, envy is a deadly sin, deployed by people eager to exercise the other six at your expense. That is if you make the mistake of electing them into positions of power.
And the one thing they desire, or should I say envy, more than anything else is unimpeachable power over you.
That’s it for today. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
