Morning Update: Dems-R-Crooks

Today, on the Morning Update, we know Dems are crooks, from using government to steal your property to robbing you of your natural rights. But these Dems are extra crooked, and if they are doing it there, they are probably doing it wherever you are.

Welcome to your Wednesday, August 19th, 2026. Morning update.

We know Democrats are crooks. Everything they want to do, they want somebody else to pay for it. And they are happy to use government. In fact, eager to use the government to take money from you to pay for things they care about.

Not things you care about, although tangentially that could happen by mistake. Typically, it’s an accident. So there are lots of crooks. Dems are crooks by nature. Their entire party is based on Theivery, theft, and then abuse of your rights to ensure they can keep robbing you. But there’s an extra level of thievery involved, and we’ve seen a lot of this in the fraud cases, including Gavin Newsom and his wife, and all these other different examples, but today we’re gonna take a quick trip, thanks to Jeff Childers at Coffee and COVID, through a rogues gallery of individuals from all over the country who happen to be Democrats, some of them elected and high ranking, who just figured, you know what? It’s the culture. We can steal whenever we want.

Quote: In roughly one month, a nationwide storm of Democrat officials and Democrat adjacent insiders were whipsawed on the wrong end of a docket. In candor, it’s hard to imagine how this could be a coordinated operation. I’ve looked at it ten different ways. Criminal investigations run on different clocks, and the clocks vary widely. The New Mexico case took five years. The Georgia plea came from a scheme prosecutors had been unwinding since 2024. Grand juries meet when grand juries meet.

So here we go. headline.

New Mexico, high-ranking Democratic legislator convicted in federal fraud case. Former State House Majority Leader Cheryl William Stableton was arrested and indicted on 31 felony counts: conspiracy, bribery, mail fraud, money laundering.

Georgia: third Democratic state lawmaker pleads guilty to COVID unemployment fraud. Georgia State Rep Sharon Henderson pleaded guilty on July 30th, 2018, to pandemic unemployment fraud. She claimed a COVID layoff from a school job she’d actually quit in 2018, and she kept filing false weekly certifications even after being sworn into the Georgia legislature, which is technically a job.

Missouri feds indict interim Jackson County executive Phil LaVota for bribery. LaVota previously chaired the Jackson County Democratic Party. He was indicted on five federal counts unsealed August sixth, including honest services fraud, federal program bribery, and lying to the feds. New Jersey, LaPlaca Car what?

New Jersey, Lumberton Township Committee Woman Gina LaPlaca and her husband were charged August eleventh with faking signatures on her own nominating petition, apparently having run short of neighbors and relatives willing to sign it for free. LaPlaca had earlier pled guilty to child endangerment arising from a 2025 drunk driving incident involving her young son.

Former Columbus Vice Mayor Joseph Mickens was indicted and arrested August 13th on money laundering and offering inducements to influence contract awards, an alleged kickback scheme. Minnesota, former assistant Anoka County Attorney, helped operate sex trafficking organization, charges say. Andrea Lee Sampson, an assistant Anoka County family law attorney until March, was charged August 13th in Hennepin County with 26 validity counts, thirteen for promoting prostitution, and thirteen receiving profits, one per count per victim.

New York, nonprofit at the center of federal corruption probe, still has a ninety-four million dollar city contract. In March, federal prosecutors in Brooklyn indicted the former board chairman and Executive Director of BHRAGS Home Care, a taxpayer-funded NGO turned migrant shelter operator, for embezzling over $1.3 million, including $800,000 earmarked for Brooklyn affordable housing.

And a little closer to home in Massachusetts, Lawrence Mayor Brian DePena arrested by the FBI A criminal complaint filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Boston charges DePena with wire fraud and money laundering.

Prosecutors say he fraudulently obtained over $1.5 million in COVID small business loans and used the proceeds to fund his campaign account, pay personal taxes, and pay off over $880,000 in high-interest mortgages that encumbered various properties he owned in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

I didn’t have any for New Hampshire. I didn’t have any, maybe for your state, but I’m willing to bet.

This is their culture. It’s a culture of theft and crime. They use the government to steal from you. They use their positions in government to steal from the government, which is stealing from you. They are all crooks, or they aid and abet crooks.

That’s it for today. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
