Karmelo Anthony admitted to stabbing Austin Metcalf to death (“I’m not alleged; I did it”), and people are outraged that he’s going to jail for that. The self-defense “defense” didn’t hold up. Death by stabbing after being pushed is considered excessive use of force. As in, couldn’t you have stabbed him someplace else? Or, how about, maybe, not stabbing anyone.
The usual suspects are shouting the usual lies, but the timing is weird. The UK is boiling over after police believed that Henry Nowak deserved to get stabbed for being racist, wounds that claimed his life.
A reverse racism cautionary tale?
The UK perp, Vickrum Singh Digwa, almost walked away, and you’d be right if you guessed that this is the outcome those outraged folks wanted for Anthony. From Tom Woods.
Meanwhile, Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, speaking about a situation in which a family’s son was just stabbed to death, thought this was an appropriate thing to say:
“Black women, especially black women who have black male children, live in fear and agony every single day, of fear and agony that I promise you, the Metcalfs probably never spent a day living that way. And we’re going to have to have just some real conversations about race in this country.”
Whatever your thoughts on Karmelo Anthony (or the Crock), a progressive system that insists on letting black men get away with committing crimes, including murder, as if it’s the right thing to do, can only result in more young black men dying. How does this help young black men, or anyone else?
What are Bare Minimum Books…?
The bulk of black crime, greater than even a super-majority, is directed at black victims. More Woods and sure, Jasmine, a conversation. That’s what this is.
[A]ccording to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, black prisoners often report or have records showing higher average prior arrests (around nine or more in some cohorts compared to whites), and a greater share of newly incarcerated black prisoners have ten or more prior arrests than do whites.
We know from the progs themselves that there are lists of crimes they will not prosecute, so how many more crimes might have been committed, and why, again, would we let anyone walk away from one?
Isn’t letting them steal, rob, rape, and kill each other in increasing numbers about the most racist thing you could do? How do you justify ignoring black victims’ rights in favor of invented rights for black criminals?
Karemlo killed a white guy. Vickrum killed a white guy. But most of the dead bodies are young black men. Most of the victims of rape, assault, and robbery are people of color. It is not the conversation Jasmine wants to have, and we know why.
Under no circumstance does this lawlessness equate to any sort of equity or justice, but the community has been convinced otherwise and suffers as a result.
The BLM riots primarily destroyed black communities and lives, which isn’t ironic given that its patron saint was a career criminal whose final act was to die from his overdose in police custody. A product of Democrat urban policy, his death in the company of Democrat-led law enforcement resulted in another progressive money laundering scheme that enriched a few at the expense of mostly black Americans.
These same Democrats insisted that defunding police forces who had answered to Democrat leadership for decades would be less racist when all that did was increase the rate at which blacks were attacked, raped, assaulted, and murdered.
And how is it social justice to use the public schools as a liberal jobs program that enriches Democrat Party advocates to ‘graduate kids who can’t read or do math; kids whose only ladder to success is drugs and crime because there are few, if any, jobs (as businesses flee to escape the crime), and the starting wages demanded by democrats make it less likely they can even get hired.
The left likes to talk a lot about ‘minorities’ being seen, as if they see the black community. They see them as vote slaves on their progressive murder plantations but not much else.
Democrats created these problems to use them for political gain, which, in my mind, makes them the biggest racists of all. And the real crime is how hard it’s been to try and rescue them from their clutches or to convince them to rescue themselves by not voting for Democrats for a generation or two so things might have some chance to get better.
