MACDONALD: The ShamWow Guy is Running for Congress!!!

Nothing says fun like campaign ads. Most of them are formulaic, boring, uninspired, and not share-worthy. I know. The consultant class knows how to spring whatever it is to get their candidate to win, but half of them are going to lose. Not great odds. So, if you are going to lose, have fun, and you might just win.

And what about doing infomercials for a living doesn’t prepare you for campaigning for (or career in) public office?

Enter, Offer Vince Shlomi (stage name of Vince Offer). A street vendor without a street. The ShamWow and Slap-Chop guy. He’s running for Congress.

… “as a Republican in Texas District 31. He is challenging eight-term incumbent Republican Rep. John Carter, 84, who is incredibly seeking another term, and he will also face around 10 other Republican candidates. The district is solidly red, so the primary is the biggest hurdle Offer must overcome.

Making elections fun again.

His chances are good. The incumbent is, well, here’s the 30-second spot that dropped explaining why you should vote for Vince.

What I wouldn’t do for a candidate for Congress in my state who had the balls (born with them or not) to engage the public like that. Granted, we don’t have any solid red districts, thanks to Chris Sununu pandering to the ruling class when it was time to redistrict. But if you’re gonna lose, or likely to lose because no one on your side has the cohones to end the decades-old “out-of-state voter problem” that keeps handing seats in Congress to lying left-wing lunatics, at least go, and then go out, with some style.

Who knows, you might actually win.
