In the January 20th Morning Update, I warned Democrats that they’ve got a problem they need to fix. A small, determined mob harassed a group of engineers at a restaurant because someone reported them for looking like ICE agents.
Reports are coming in of regular Americans, sitting in their cars at intersections, being waylaid by these groups with whistles, cameras, shouting at them, even threats, because they might be ICE or look like ICE or are alleged to have an ICE agent with them, or perhaps were implicated in helping ICE.
New York City detectives say they were treated rudely and disrespectfully last week after they were mistaken for federal immigration agents while seeking treatment at a hospital after an arrest.
The officers went to NYU Langone/Cobble Hill Hospital in Brooklyn after a fight with a drug suspect, the New York Post reported.
“[Hospital staff] were nasty to the officers in the waiting room, accused them of being ICE and suggested they go elsewhere,” one source familiar with the incident told the newspaper.
So, what’s the problem?
ICE isn’t the least bit intimidated and continues to do its job, but regular Americans are. The Democrat Party finally found something for their base to do that they like to do, and record themselves doing, including very vicious words and threats (see TikTok), and practicing what is preached in the real world is going to piss everyone else off.
And while they think they got what they wanted when an ICE protester ended up dead, what happens when some regular American, trying to go about their day, ends up in a hospital or dead because yourwandering mobs of mental health unit escapees mistook someone and the street action got out of hand.
My guess is they will try to blame it on ICE, but while Renee Nicole Good appears ot have been a full-time radicalized left-wing insurrectionist, rando dude or gal in business attire getting in the way of a harm you instigated…is not protected speech.
Incitement to violence is a crime of both the individual who engaged in the act and the person who set them out there to do it. And it’s not like you can say you didn’t want them to or expect them to get into it with ICE agents, except that’s not what is happening.
Your army of agitated idiots isn’t searching for ICE agents so much as they are looking to be the stars of the next viral anti-ICE video. And while they don’t want to die to get famous, they do seem prepared to commit crimes against innocent people, which, correct me if I’m wrong, is the excuse you gave them to go out there in the first place.
No one is illegal, is that right?
Surprise! Your street thugs are very nearly doing things that are very illegal. We know that doesn’t bother you. We remember the summer of 2021. But so does everyone else, and I don’t think they are prepared to put up with that bullshit again.
Put another way, goons doing “mobocracy” and recording it are creating the messaging that will likely undo any advantage the Left is building heading toward the midterms.
At least I hope that’s the case.
