Celebrate Four Consecutive Months at Number One!

The year of our Lord 2021 has been good to the ‘Grok pageview-wise. While we typically trade first and second place for the most online print-media traffic in New Hampshire with the Manchester Union Leader, this year’s been a bit different.

We’ve been at number one since December of last year.

When I say “number one,” I’m referring to the Alexa online global ranking system, regarded as a reliable metric for rating site performance based on web traffic.

The sites being measured are print media (no radio or television) across New Hampshire. Most of these have a print version to which folks subscribe, which is not our thing.

Using the domestic rank, we sort the sites around the state into a list at which we’ve been at the top on and off for a few years. But in 2021, so far, at least, we’ve owned the number one position.

One day we may monetize that more effectively, which takes more work and time than we seem to have.

This time around, I’ve added a few NH Business Mag digital footprints (‘cuz they dip their toes into the politics) and, just for fun, the departing Gracie Gato’s Buzz-site (‘cuz she was gonna take us all down). If there are other sites you think we should add, let me know.

Sites are sorted by US rank until they lack data for a domestic rank, after which they are sorted by Global rank.
