Tweet of the Day – really, FORTRAN?

It seems that there was a Tweet fight between singer Duncan Sheik (supposedly, a one hit wonder back in the 90s – I certainly can’t remember it) and Greg Gutfield (host of “The Five” and “Redeye” on Fox.

Zing!

FORTRAN? Back in the day, that was the premier computational language for scientific / engineering  / mathematics problems.  Nowadays, it would be considered a 2GL anachronism – usable, but why bother in this age of object oriented languages and IDEs?  I’m betting that somebody had to explain to Duncan Sheik how much of a nerdy putdown this was.

My how that brings me back to high school and college!   Brilliant, Gutfield!
