Proposed Law: The Same Kids that are “Smart” Enough to Vote are too Stupid to be Prosecuted as Adults.

California is one of the fifty “laboratories” of the States, but this one is run by mad political scientists who create monsters. A Lefty-Legislation factory that is creating monsters to feed on your wallets and your rights. And sometimes, they are just plain stupid

The Gig worker law would be the most recent. It appeased unions by forcing companies that use independent contractors (outsourced or franchised work) to hire them as employees if they engage in a certain number of “contracts” per year. While aimed at Uber and Lyft, it decimated freelancers across the employment spectrum forcing thousands of businesses to literally cut ties with private contractors (writers, artists, etc.).

Thankfully I’ve seen no evidence of that appearing around here. But what about this? (Emphasis, mine.)

In a ridiculous move by California State Senator Nancy Skinner (D-Berkley), aims to increase the age for automatically facing criminal charges to the age of 20, under a newly proposed bill. Skinner argues that teenagers ages 18-19 are not mature enough to be treated and prosecuted as adults. Skinner’s office points out data linked to a study aimed at stating the obvious: 18 or 19-year-old brains have not fully developed and will not fully develop until several years later.

Take note: Many Democrats are eager for younger versions of these underdeveloped brains to get the right to vote. To vote Democrat, it is presumed, and not just because of their underdeveloped brains. If the Left thought 17-year-olds (or even out of state college students in NH) were going to vote Republican, they would never propose such a thing.

The bill Senator Nancy Skinner proposes could just as easily suggest they not be allowed to vote until they are twenty or twenty-one. That would be consistent with the argument but consistency is never the point.

“Every single emotional plea or legislative exercise from the left is to solve one and only one problem. You having more control over how your money is spent than the government.”

Adding likely Democrat voters advances that goal and Democrats in New Hampshire are just as interested as those in any other state. And they are. We have a bill to set up a study committee to consider pre-registering at 16-years of age and automatic voter registration. HB1395 calls itself a bill to improve ballot access and civic engagement.

If we wait long enough voting, sex, and having an abortion will be the only thing you can do at the age.
