Democratic State Senate candidate "Bathroom Bud" Martin tries to campaign his way out of toilet after reporter blows lid off series of stinky decisions while sitting on the Bench
Rather than answering for several questionable rulings while serving on the Bench, District 3 State Senate candidate Bud Martin’s team has instead stooped to attacking those who dare recall his criminal-friendly ways that stand as part of the permanent record.
Responding to an inquiry by the editors at Now!Hampshire.com regarding a story I submitted to them for publication, campaign manager Joe Elcock did not challenge its substance in a statement to the online e-newspaper:
“Bud Martin has a long and respected record throughout New Hampshire both as a judge and as an attorney,” said Elcock. “It is despicable that Jeb Bradley has, once again, decided to use Karl Rove-style politics in an attempt to distract voters. The politics of personal destruction have no place in the Granite State. The people of District 3 deserve better.”
As noted in the piece, neither Jeb nor Mr. Rove were consulted during its writing. You see, what I reported that Mr. Elcock chooses to ignore were two very public stories making news back in the Nineties as then Judge Willard "Bud" Martin served on the NH bench in classic San Francisco/ Pelosi-like fashion. Interestingly, both happened to involve bathrooms, which, in my mind happens to be of particular relevance given this week’s expected House vote on HB 415, or, as it it more commonly called, "the bathroom bill."
While it might be true that in some respect, New Hampshire voters have been seeking "change," I don’t believe for one minute that "Bathroom Bud" Martin reflects the values of the good people of District 3.
