Trump’s attacks in response to 47 years of Iran’s attacks against Americans and others escalating to a nuclear threat have made Trump’s critics forgetful. Previous Presidents, leading politicians, and the media acknowledged that Iran is the world’s greatest sponsor of terrorism; that Iran killed, maimed, or injured thousands of Americans; and that Iran must not be allowed to have nuclear weapons.
Some critics falsely claim that Trump’s attack was illegal without Congress declaring War on Iran. The US hasn’t declared war since 1942.
Some critics say Iran’s nuclear threat wasn’t imminent. Does imminent mean that a nuclear weapon must be overhead or in a suitcase in an American city? No!
Nor is International Law violated by responding to Iran’s war and threats against us.
Some critics say Iran didn’t have missiles that reached the US. But Iran possesses missiles that can reach all European capitals and attack at least 100,000 Americans.
911 was the result of not taking Islamists’ attacks on US embassies, Churches, the World Trade Tower (1993), etc., seriously, 911 cost 2977 lives and trillions of dollars.
A nuclear 911 would be thousands of times worse.
Mutually Assured Destruction doesn’t protect us from religious fanatics, like the Islamists controlling Iran, who are dedicated to the Islamic Paradise that is achieved after a worldwide conflagration that they intend to start with nuclear weapons.
It’s our government’s responsibility to prevent attacks against us. Iran indicated its ability to build 10 nuclear weapons in two weeks. Previous Presidents and political leaders agreed that Iran must NOT be allowed to get nuclear weapons; it was time to act.
Trump is risking his Presidency to end the threat to you and about 330 million other Americans.
