When you are rejected and left politically homeless and looking for purpose, it is easy to fall back on old and very often bad habits. Those things which, while not in the best interest of anyone, might make you feel a little bit better like you have meaning. For Democrats, the usual crutch is accusing someone of racism or bigotry or hating women – all things they are much better at than anyone at whom their fingers point. Accusations of fascism fit that mold, as well as regurgitating Russian collusion (in their case it is all things communist, just look at their love affair with China).
Another thing they like to do is project.
In the wake of the recent accusations (implications) that Tulsi Gabbard might be a Russian asset, we should remember that desperate dems and their handmaiden media have walked this crooked path before, and everything they said then was a lie.
In fact, just about every reference from the left that Russia did something to mess with America in the past decade has been false. The meddlers were actually Democrats who put America at much greater and immediate risk.
What has Russia done recently to harm America? It was open to a peace deal with Ukraine before the war got heated, and the US and UK scuttled it. Many tens of thousands are dead, and tens of billions of US dollars wasted on a conflict Ukraine can’t win that – the way the Dems are handling it – will lead to nuclear conflict and WWIII.
Russia may have invaded Ukraine, but it did not start that war. The Biden administration did that when it insisted on the one thing Putin asked NATO not to do and by being a weak leader who makes bad foreign policy decisions.
Closer to home, the damage done by Democrats is more evident and immediate. Crime, the economy, the debt, the border, inflation, energy policy, education, and even agricultural policy are all at war with traditional American values. Russia isn’t at war with America. The Democrat party is – with the Chinese, with whom the Dems appear to have been colluding since, at least, the Clinton administration.
The 2024 Election proves these things matter to almost everyone except hard-core lefties. So, as the media cranks up its old Russia Collusion saw, let’s keep some perspective. Every previous iteration of this song and dance was bullshit, and most, if not all, have yet to apologize for how wrong they were about any of it.
Today’s version will be no different.
