Temperature Shifts Over Hundreds of Millions of Years … Prove You Are Wrecking The Planet

Some people claiming to be scientists unexpectedly discovered that the temperature history of planet Earth is like Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. It is all over the place and mostly hotter than today.

This is not a discovery. Eighth graders used to know this until recently (not sure there is time for it with all the queering), and there is no shortage of evidence to corroborate that. Science hasn’t published groundbreaking research unless you mean the idea that the warming is linked to CO2 and the researcher’s premise that today’s warming is more dramatic than at any time in the 485 million-year timeline.

It would be interesting if they’d decided that despite all the past research showing that CO2 rose in response to warming (having likely been released by the oceans that store it during cooler periods), the ocean, after all, has no incentive to release CO2 when colder temperatures prevail, and evaporation is less intense.

I’m no scientist, but then, neither are the politicians who found this crap, but I did share the best explanation for why the predicted hurricane season failed to deliver while baffled experts could only blame your western lifestyle.

Broken meet record.

That’s my take here, and I’m sticking to it while the “scientists” use their research to suggest that the current rate of warming is steeper than one where the earth experienced a mass extinction.

“We know that these catastrophic events … shift the landscape of what life looks like,” Judd said. “When the environment warms that fast, animals and plants can’t keep pace with it.”

At no point in the nearly half-billion years that Judd and her colleagues analyzed did the Earth change as fast as it is changing now, she added:

“In the same way as a massive asteroid hitting the Earth, what we’re doing now is unprecedented.”

It’s like that, they say, and you can read the abundance of words they printed or not becasue all the sciency stuff is cover for the same old fearmongering. It’s getting hotter faster, and that’s bad for people 1) You are to blame, and 2) drastic action would be required to fix it.

Would it?

I have my doubts. No oppressively regulating overtaxing government in the human history that rose during the recent cooling has proved itself capable of more than enriching a few and leaving the rest to scrabble for a subsistence living. In fact, the cure – if we even need one – is to get government out of the way unless you use it to protect free markets and meritocracy solve whatever problem we’re faced with in the coming decades or centuries.

More government makes matters worse by putting more people at or near poverty instead of allowing free innovators to find ways that allow them to lift themselves out of it. A more prosperous society with affordable energy is the one that is more likely to survive any calamity.

If that’s not your plan then it will just make matters worse
