FLASHBACK: The Manchurian President.
It’s a little early in his administration to draw any broad conclusions, but the evidence is clear: As a younger man, Barack Obama was kidnapped and brainwashed by evil Republican operatives, then sent deep undercover to destroy the Democratic Party and perhaps even the entire liberal worldview.
That’s the intro of a column I wrote in September of 2009. Might still be worth a chuckle or two.

Well, consider it mission accomplished. Regional Party, no bench to draw from, and a complete rejection of the Progressive foreign political philosophy – Americans want to be stronger but necessarily dragooned by Government to be “together”.
That is, if the GOP is willing to stop being selfish and give “The Stupid Party” banner to the Democrats that seem to want it.
