Notable Quote – Prof. Don Boudreaux

by

We rightly condemn parents who teach children to envy the possessions of others; we properly censure parents who encourage children to steal rather than to produce and earn for themselves. If envy and thievery are antisocial, unethical, and worthy of condemnation when practiced at the individual level, they do not become social, ethical, and worthy of applause when practiced collectively through government.

– Donald J. Boudreaux, Professor of Economics

Martha and Nelson Getchell Chair for the Study of Free Market Capitalism at the Mercatus Center

And this is what Progressivism has brought full time / all time to American politics – Congratulations!  Class warfare, executed to a “T” by Barack Obama, is nothing if it isn’t the sin of Envy and Greed for what others have that you might not.  No, you might not want it for yourselves, but the Democrat Identity Group politics ends up in not wanting the other group to have it either.

The politics of Envy turns out to be the politics of “Everyone loses”.

Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom and how the Government is taking that away. As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. As a TEA Party activist, citizen journalist, and pundit!, my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture.
