Alternate Title: So, what’s the difference between “bailouts” for forestry and “bailouts” for Government schools? None – they both raise taxes and benefit only a few.
The Pledge
Bet on it – Volinsky is going to turn us into NJ: “I will lower your property taxes”.
Two-term Executive Councilor Andru Volinsky doubled down on his refusal to pledge to veto a sales or income tax Friday as he formally filed his candidacy for governor. Instead, Volinsky created a pledge of his own – he’s calling it “the pledge of the future.” It says,
GrokTV Event: Belknap County Republican Committee “Contested Primaries” – NH State Senate District 7
In Belknap County, there is a second NH State Senate race – that in District 7. Here, Josh Youseff and Bill Grimm are vying to be the Republican nominee to take on the Democrat contender. In my estimation, there is a certain divide between the two – Josh is more the Liberty & Freedom guy (and the last of our interview series with him is here; follow it backwards) while Grimm is more the Establishment guy. Also, as you listen to the video, it is plain that Grimm is not exactly “heads on and out front” on his answers; too much equivocation for me. And his unwillingness to commit to The Pledge is similar to one of the Democrats, Jackie Cilley (while less than that of Bill Kennedy who is opening arguing for a broadbased income tax here in NH).
No, that is not Josh in the video; instead, a surrogate stood in for him.

This is something of an election year tradition. Democrats who have been trying to raise old taxes or pass new taxes for years find the odds of achieving the states highest office against them if they don’t pay lip service to “The Pledge.”
Governor Shaheen fell off the horse and eventually passed the state wide education funding tax. Governor Lynch signed the pledge then later signed off on RGGI, a regressive broad based tax that actually outsourced taxing power to an unelected out of state board. And now Maggie Hassan has stated repeatedly that she has taken the same pledge, but has she?
