In a guest op-ed appearing in today’s Concord Monitor, Senator Dan Feltes and Chairman Susan Almy took pen to paper in another attempt to fool the taxpayers of New Hampshire.
Ways and Means Chair Susan Almy led the charge to end prosperity in New Hampshire. The Granite State has experienced historical growth in employment and its labor force after a series of business tax cuts were implemented. Democrats disagree on that point not that it matters. They need to raise taxes to pay for their spending.

I find it interesting how spending that New Hampshire Democrats “authorize” is an investment in New Hampshire. We need to dump more tax dollars into UNH. Look at the economic benefits. But, spending they don’t control is not – like the State’s Education Scholarship Tax Credit (ETC).
The Democrat Chair of the New Hampshire House Ways and Means Committee has a low opinion of homeschoolers in her state. Her voting record attests to that. So it doesn’t begin with the planned hearing on a bill to repeal New Hampshire’s education scholarship tax credit (HB632). A hearing for which she choose an inadequate space given the crowd likely to appear.
Longtime New Hampshire Democrat Susan Almy is doing her part to raise taxes. She’s introduced a legislative proposal to raise taxes on job creators. But she’s also got a bill in the pipeline that would appear to give the Legislative Fiscal Committee taxing powers independent of the Legislature. The bipartisan surge against the democrats ill-gained, late night, last minute LLC tax smells faintly of rotting eggs.
