At least a few of the Several States, all run by political partisans exercising political will, attempted to keep a candidate for the office of President from appearing on an opposing (private) party primary ballot. The candidate, Donald Trump, asked the Supreme Court to review Colorado’s effort, and they have.
We like to think of judges as learned arbiters, thoroughly knowledgeable in the finer details of the law and, above all, eminently honest and fair – nonpartisan and unbiased. That’s especially true of Supreme Court justices.

It’s rumored that some Republican-controlled state governments are considering prohibiting Joe Biden from appearing on the ballot in their states. Of course, Democrats are crying foul: ‘He isn’t an insurrectionist!’
The response to the Colorado State Supreme Court’s decision to remove Donald Trump from the primary ballot has been nothing if not amusing. That was always my plan. How do we stir up the Left about their own supposed victory? Well, here’s another swizzel stick with which to stir.
A court in Colorado has announced that Donald Trump can’t be on the Republican primary ballot in March because the 14th Amendment somehow prohibits that.
Mr. Trump was very clear on January 6th about proceeding to the Capitol to engage in a peaceful and patriotic protest. Whether you believe what followed resulted from planted federal agents inciting the crowd or just the crowd, it hardly matters. Nothing about it was an Insurrection, but since Democrats insist, let’s play along.
